Ashley's POV

"Hey Camila! Is your bag here already?!" I shouted at the top of my lungs, as we prepare for our journey to La Luna Crescente.

"No! Not yet, a minute please!" Camila yelled back from her house, as she appear from the front door holding two big backpacks over her shoulder. Struggling, Lauren rushed to her side to help her carry one of the bags. Camila smiled in gratitude as she watch Lauren put her bags at the back of the van.

"C'mon kids hurry up! Last stop is Shay's place." Troian said, honking the horns making me and Lucy almost jump in our seats.

At the mention of Shay's name, my heartbeat quickened its pace. Jeez! She's not even here, yet she manages to make me flustered by just the mention of her name. I got it bad.

I didn't even realize that we were on our way to Shannon's house until Camila and Lauren sang at the top of their lungs.

"I DON'T CARE WHAT PEOPLE SAY WHEN WE'RE TOGETHER!! YOU KNOW I WANNA BE THE ONE TO HOLD YOU WHEN YOU SLEEP!!" They both shouted and sang at the same time. While the two girls in the front joined in their jamming.

Not long after, we were already in front of Shay's house. Shay was standing on their front porch her foot tapping the floor impatiently her one hand is holding on the bag, while the other on her phone.

She looks so beautiful, I thought to myself. I opened the door for her and signaled her to come in. We locked eye contact and she greeted me with a grin making me smile and blush. Even after entering the van and seating beside me, we continued staring at each other. Our eyes speaking so much more emotions than our lips ever could.

"Hey" I mumbled coyly.

"Hey to you too, beautiful!" Shay greeted back. I glanced away smiling, eliciting another blush from my cheeks.

She giggled at my reaction before turning to the two girls at the back who was still singing. She interacted with Lauren and Camila, asking them about something I couldn't understand because I was so focused on the way her eyes would lit up or how her nose would scrunch with something that Camila probably said. Or how her smile would turn to an adorable laugh and how she would ran her hands over her hair making her more stunning than ever.

After our conversation yesterday, I couldn't sleep all night. I still thought about how her lips felt good pressed to mine. How her soft hands caressed my face delicately and how she held me in her arms our bodies in perfect fit with each other. And I kept overthinking about what would happened next since we now know our feelings towards each other. I kept thinking if she would allow our relationship to go from 'bestfriends' to 'lovers'. Or if ever that happens, what will I say to my parents about liking somone who is a girl. Does it even matter? Would they be mad? Would they throw me out of the house and abandon me? What about Shannon's parents? Will they accept he-

My thoughts were disturbed by a hand holding my cheek and a very worried Shay in front of me. "You alright, Ash? You kind of spaced out there a bit?" Shay asked, her thumb caressing my cheek slowly as I leaned in her touch.

I smiled genuinely, taking her hand on my own. "Yeah, I'm fine. I was just thinking about something."

Unconvinced she continued asking me, "You sure? You know you can tell me anything right?"

My heart melted at her concern for me, "I'm sure, Shan. Stop worrying about me." I gave her a reassuring smile.

"Okay, if you say so." She poked my dimple making me laugh.
