Chapter 21 - Meeting the Competition

[A/N Just to be clear when I write 'Third-Person's POV' it means its from the narrators perspective, there's no mystery person or 'A' in this story. I feel like I need to clarify this because some of you were confused. Anyways here's Chapter 21! Enjoy😊]

Third-Person's POV

The past two weeks has been easy for Shay and Ashley, they've been closer than ever and they spend every possible time with each other. Ashley's training has progressed and Shannon is making sure that Ashley is taking care of herself and not skipping any meals. They find themselves falling for each other even more as time passes by and its getting harder and harder to deny their feeling towards each other.

It was currently their break time and the girls decided to have a group study at the library. Lauren and Camila was helping each other and Troian, Lucy and Shannon was busy doing their individual works. While Ashley was a little bit preoccupied staring at the brunette beside her.

She was doing this for awhile now and its surprising that none of the girls have noticed. Ashley was busy admiring Shay's features and studying every flaw in her face that makes her perfect to the eyes of Ashley. Ashley would always smile when Shay will furrow her eyebrows when she doesn't understand something. Or when she scrunches her nose when Shay finds something unattainable in her work. Or the way she would bite into the tip of her pencil when she's concentrating hard. Or when Shannon would ran a hand through her hair and purse her lips to show how frustrated she are. Ashley finds everything that she does endearing and stunning as she continue to admire the beauty in front of her.

She only stopped when she saw the other girls gazing at her dumbly, except for Troian who has a smirk on her face as if she knew something. Unfortunately, Shannon was completely distracted by the paper in front of her and was still oblivious to the fact that Ashley has been gazing at her like a precious gem.

Ashley cleared her throat and pretended to go back to her work as if she wasn't eyeing Shannon just this past few minutes.

When the girls got back to whatever they were doing, she can't help but to steal another glance at Shay. She wasn't planning on staring again, but clearly she has other arrangements. Now, Shannon was biting her lips and her hand was placed under her chin. Ashley can't help but look at the girls pink lips, but was taken aback when Shannon turned to look at her.

When Shannon turned to look at the blonde beside her, she was surprised to find her staring back with wide eyes.

Smiling sweetly at Ashley she can't help but ask, "Why are you staring at me like that?"

"W-what do you mean?" Ashley said stuttering through her words.

Shannon smirked, "Like I caught you doing something illegal." She whispered at Ashley not wanting to disturb the others who were studying and reading.

Ashley wasn't able to answer because she couldn't find the right words to say.

Troian then stepped in but not removing her eyes from her book, "Oh nothing illegal, just that she was eye-fucking you earlier."

Shannon and Ashley blushed at her bluntness, but mostly Ashley because she just got caught.

Troian received a kick from Ashley which made a loud noise making the librarian to scold them. Ashley then mouthed a 'sorry' to the librarian, wanting to hide behind the desk due to embarrassment.

"I-i wasn't eye-fucking her. I was just... admiring." Ashley said defensively, hiding her face from Shannon who was now looking at her amused.

Her crimson red face didn't go unnoticed by the rest of the girls, Camila and Lauren was trying to suppress a giggle while Troian and Lucy was grinning.
