Chapter 16 - Jealousy is a Green-eyed monster

Shay's POV

I made myself comfortable in the cafeteria as I eat the salad in front of me trying to digest it. It's Tuesday and Ashley is back to ignoring me. I sighed as I take another mouthful of salad when I see Troian and Lauren take a seat in front of me. They both looked at me with curious faces which annoyed the hell out of me. I know they've notice yesterday how Ashley and I were not in good circumstances and they're waiting for an explanation right now.

"Ugh! Quit with the staring, it freaks me out!" I said to the both of them making them laugh.

"So???" Troian said, again with the staring.

"So... we fought. Again." I explained to them briefly not wanting to talk about her today.

"Yeah, duh no shit Sherlock. We already knew that! We need details, details." Troian kept bugging me until I finally gave in.

"Fine! We fought because..." I stopped before saying very quickly hoping they wouldn't understand it. "Istalkedherandherdateandthenshefoundoutandthenshegotmadandnowshesbacktoignoringme." I said quickly taking another bite of salad making sure I chew it slowly so I'd buy time.

"What?! In English please not in gibberish." Lauren said to me frowning when I continued chewing my food. I raised a hand in them signaling for them to wait, which made them groan.

I swallowed the food then this time I said it slowly. "I stalked her and her date and then she found out and then she got mad and now she's back to ignoring me."

"Damn! Talk about trouble in paradise, that's even worse than Lauren's love life." Troian said. I turned to Lauren raising an eyebrow at her waiting for her to explain.

"It's nothing!" Lauren insisted but I wasn't to give up so I turned to Troian.

Troian looked at me and Lauren back and forth before finally spitting out. "Well, during the sleepover Camila kept talking about this 'cute guy' that she met in Physics." Troian said quoting with her fingers. "And of course, Lauren here..." she stopped to look at Lauren's direction who has a withholding look on her face. "...got jealous and told Camila that that 'cute guy' wouldn't date someone like Camila because she's annoying, oblivious and stupid." She said counting with her fingers.

I attempted to slap Lauren on the shoulder making her back away from me. "What the hell?! Why would you say that?!" I looked at Lauren like I was seeing an insane person.

She shrugged at me. "I don't know! But it was true though! She's annoying because she kept talking about that guy! She's oblivious to my feelings towards her! And she's stupid for not seeing that I was in love with her since our childhood!!!" she blurted out making the table to be surrounded by dead silence.

After 3 minutes has passed Troian spoke up. "You know what they say! Jealousy is a green-eyed monster." She smirked at the brunette beside her, pointing out the fact that Lauren has green eyes.

Lauren rolled her eyes at Troian, making me laugh at the both of them. I was suppose to say something when a ball landed in my back making me groan from the pain. Okay seriously?! What is with balls hitting me?!

"Hey watch it!" I watch Troian grab the basketball and toss it harshly to someone behind me. I look at my six to see a tall guy receiving the ball. He has a brown hair and gray eyes and he's quite a well-built man, and looking from he's uniform it was obvious that he's a basketball player. He apologized to me before turning to Troian and giving her an apologized look as well before winking at her. Troian responded by giving him the finger, which the guy only laughed at. The three of us watch him walk away going towards his friends on the other table, on the back of his jersey was written 'Allen' and the number 36.
