"Skip, you have five minutes to get your stuff in the car, your flight leaves at one!" My father yelled from downstairs. I rolled my eyes dramatically and closed my laptop.

"Okay Dad!" I yelled back down to him. My father and I weren't exactly close; he was always busy with business and other stuff, so we never had time to build a proper father, daughter relationship. It's not that I really cared; I mean I had a lot of time to myself, so that was always a bonus.

I quickly rushed around my room, collecting my suitcase and necessities. Once I finished, I closed the door to my room, and walked downstairs, the thumping of my suitcase following closely behind.

My dad was waiting by the door once I got downstairs. He looked at me and smiled.

"You're going to have fun, I promise." He said placing a kiss on top of my head. My dad, however, wasn't exactly keen on keeping his promises.

I walked outside and immediately the Georgia heat hit me; for 12 o' clock in the afternoon, it was pretty hot. I put on my sunglasses and dragged my suitcase and bags out to the car.

Once everything was packed in the car, I hopped into the front seat. I kicked on the A/C, because if I didn't, I swear I was going to die. I may live in Georgia, but heat and I don't exactly mix well. Maybe my aunt will have a nice, air conditioned house, and I can just sit in there, and go on the Internet; I mean, that's all my summer consists of anyways.

The drive to airport was silent. I didn't bother to speak to my father, and he didn't bother to speak to me. I didn't care; I mean this is all our relationship really consisted of.

A half an hour later, and we were at the airport. I stepped out of the car, stretched, and then I went to the trunk to gather my belongings. My dad met me at the trunk and looked into my eyes.

"Now sweetie, I know you are going to have fun, and I'm only doing this-" I cut him off.

"Because you're going to be away on business all summer, I get it Dad, but I don't understand why this time is different. You left me home alone while you were on business a bunch of other times." I complained. My dad looked at me with sad eyes, the same ones he's given me so many times before.

"Look Skip, I understand that you're upset, but I don't want you home alone for that long." He replied. At that point I grew frustrated.

"What, I make one mistake, and suddenly you can't trust me?!" I said loudly.

"I never said I didn't trust you-" I cut him off again.

"Well then what is it about Dad, because it's clearly not about me being alone for three months?" I retaliated. My dad opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out.

"That's exactly what I thought." I said. I slammed the trunk shut and walked away, my bags and suitcase in hand.

I heard my dad calling after me and his foot steps were pattering quickly behind. I kept walking, but my father quickly caught up to me.

"Um, I think you're forgetting something." He said handing me the ticket. I grabbed it and mumbled a 'thanks' before walking off, of course, being stopped by my dad.

"I'm sorry okay," he reassured. "I still want you to have fun, okay?" I looked at him a moment before carelessly nodding.

"Okay. Have fun, be safe, and I love you very, very much." He said hugging me tightly. I hugged him back, and a few moments later, he finally let go.

"Bye Skip." He said ruffling my hair, and with that, he finally left.

I straightened my hair back to the way it was, and took my bags to the bag check area. Once I got them back, I made my way to security, and finally the gate. I still had about half an hour until we were boarding, so I pulled out my phone and went to YouTube. I mindlessly clicked on some videos, until I found myself laughing at some YouTuber I've never watched before. He looked about my age with light brown hair, and the most gorgeous green eyes I've ever seen. When I finally caught his name, Damon Fizzy, I knew there was something special about him.
