Exactly a week has passed since Damon and I officially became a couple. I honestly began to see the world in a different light; instead of looking at the negatives, I would look at the positives.

“Well you’re up early, Skip!” My aunt sang as I walked into the kitchen.

“Yeah, I know,” I agreed as I put some bread in the toaster.

“Well that’s good, because today, we’re going to be spending the day together!”

“Okay, I don’t have any plans. What do you have in mind?”

“I could take you around to see the city?”

I thought about it a moment before nodding my head in agreement. We never really were able to go sightseeing around the city, and we’ve only went shopping once.

 “That sounds like fun.”

 “Okay, we’ll leave after breakfast.”

I nodded my head, and Cari left to go upstairs. I sat on one of the kitchen chairs, and looked outside the window; you could see the crystal clear, blue water, and the sound of sea birds was heard in the distance. I was enjoying my surroundings, when all of a sudden. . .

 POP!

I nearly screamed as the toast popped out of the toaster. I breathed a shaky sigh, and grabbed the hot pieces of bread, adding peanut butter on top, and finally, my breakfast was ready.

I ate quickly, and once I was finished, walked up to my room to get dressed. I didn’t spend too much time getting myself ready, and once I was finished, I walked downstairs, and into the living room.

I pulled out my phone, and began listening to music. I was carried away, blocking the real world out, and entering one of my own, I didn’t even realize that my aunt was standing in front of me only moments later.

“Oh hey, I didn’t notice you there.” I said, pulling out my headphones.

“It’s fine. Are you ready to go?”

“Yeah,” I answered. I got up off the couch, and walked outside towards my aunt’s car. I got into the passenger side, and my aunt got into the driver’s side. Soon, we were off, driving towards the big city of LA.

I was excited to be able to see the city, and I wanted to make the most of this trip. It was also going to be fun because I would get to spend it with my aunt.

Our first stop was the Hollywood sign. I’ve seen this so many times before in movies, but this was the first time I would be able to see it in real life.

“Wow,” I exclaimed as I got out of the car.

“I know right!” My aunt said with a smile.

We took a lot of pictures, and I felt like such a tourist, but I didn’t care, this was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I didn’t want to miss it.

“Okay, okay, I think we got enough pictures. Where do you want to go now?” My aunt asked.

We ended up going to an art museum, it was a lot of fun seeing the different works of art, and having my aunt explain them to me. My aunt also told me about the time she met one of her favorite artists here.

Almost two hours later, we left the museum to go out to eat. We stopped at a quaint café not too far away. It was decorated orange, with lime green accents, and pictures of fresh food covered the walls. We sat down at a table, and immediately, a peppy waitress walked over.
