It’s been two weeks since the night of the dinner, my aunt told me that she really liked Damon. Over that span of time, I didn’t do much. Damon and I went to see a movie once, but other than that, I spent my time with my aunt; she’s even started giving me art lessons, although I wasn’t even good.

“Are you excited for tonight?” My aunt asked as I walked into the kitchen.

“No,” I said puzzled. “What’s tonight?”

I knew my aunt and I didn’t have anything planned, I haven’t talked to Damon in a few days, and other than that, I didn’t have any other friends besides Brianna, who I haven’t spoken to since the night of the party.

 “You don’t remember?”

 I shook my head no.

“Tonight’s the night of the Sleeping with Sirens concert with Damon. You were talking about it for almost a week straight. How could you forget?!”

I gasped, and looked at the date on my phone.

 July 26.

“Oh crap you’re right!” I said, getting up abruptly. “Thanks for reminding me!”

“What else am I here for?”

I laughed, and darted up the stairs.

An hour later, I was ready to leave. I walked downstairs, wearing a black Sleeping with Sirens shirt, acid washed red and black shorts, and all black converse. My aunt smiled when I walked into the living room and flopped down on the couch.

“Well you look nice, but why are you leaving so early? The concert doesn’t start until eight.”

“He wants us to film a video together before we leave,” I answered.

“Oh, I see. Do you need me to drive you there?”

“No, Damon said he’s going to pick me up at three.”

“Okay,” Cari said. She got up, and went to her art studio, and I wasted time by scrolling through Tumblr, and watching a rerun of Doctor Who.

The next hour seemed to pass by in a blur, because before I knew it, the doorbell rang. I got up to answer it, and smiled once I saw Damon’s beaming face. He pulled me in for a hug, and I hugged him back tightly like he just got back from a trip to the moon.

“Hi, Skip, nice shirt,” Damon greeted. I noticed that Damon was wearing a Sleeping with Sirens shirt as well.

 “Thanks, you too.”

“Well, are you ready to go?”

“Yep,” I answered. I turned to my aunt, who hugged me goodbye. She told us to be safe, and I reassured her that we would.

We walked to Damon’s car hand in hand, and he even opened the door for me.

“Well, what a gentlemen.” I joked as I stepped in.

 “I try.”

We drove to Damon’s apartment blasting music, and singing obnoxiously. That seemed to be a hobby of ours.

“Wow, your apartment’s so nice,” I marvelled as I stepped into the door.

“Thanks; so I have the camera set up in my room, but if you want to film somewhere else that’s, uh, cool too. . .” Damon trailed off awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck.
