"Bray wake up. It's starting, we gotta go." Eric whispered in my ear. I shot up and wiped my eyes with my hands.

"Yeah give me two minutes." I said and stood up. I went and rinsed my face with hot water then brushed through my hair before tying it up in a messy ponytail.

"No matter what, I love you." I said to him as I walked out the bathroom. He wrapped me into a tight hug.

"I love you." He said and took my hand. We walked through the corridors to the Pit, the centre of everything. We were quick to notice Max, Aaron and Tess standing in the middle because everyone else around them was doing the exact same thing. We walked down and greeted each other before we started walking.

"They can see and hear us. They just don't process it the same way. Commands come in through the transmitter." Max said. I saw Tris out of the corner of my eye and looked at her. She looked back but I shook my head very lightly and she turned back. I saw movement up ahead and saw a man walking around, asking what was going on.

"Divergent." Max said and turned to look at Eric. Eric walked forward so I let go of his hand.

"Hey. Everything's fine, there's nothing to worry about." He said as he pulled out his gun, then shot the person in the head. I cringed back slightly as he turned and walked back. That could of been me. That could be me. We continued walking until we got to the end, no more Dauntless left.

"We will be transporting to Abnegation for the attack." Max said and we all nodded. We walked to the train tracks and saw the final people getting in, so we hopped on together and stood at the door. I saw no one I recognised in this carriage except a few people that work in the shops or bar. I grasped Eric's hand and I held on tightly.

"This is it." I mumbled and he looked down at me.

"You ready?" He said.

"As I'll ever be." I breathed out and he leaned down and placed a light kiss to my cheek.

"Everything will be fine. I love you." He whispered next to my ear.

"I love you." I whispered back.

"You two are so cute." Tess said and I giggled.

"Thanks Tee." I replied. After about 20 minutes, the train came to a halt and the doors opened automatically. I walked out with the other leaders and immediately recognised this as the Abnegation sector of the city. We walked forward, people swarming all around us, to Abnegation.

"Jeanine will be in here." Max said as we reached a house. We walked in and of course, Jeanine was standing there with her army of people.

"Hello. Welcome." She smiled as we walked in. Eric and I stayed to the back while Max spoke to her.

"Tess and Aaron can you two go patrol the left side while we patrol the right." Max ordered and they nodded.

"Stay safe." I said to them both as they walked past.

"You too." Tess said and walked out with Aaron behind her.

"Let's go." Max said and we walked out behind him. We were walking down a row of houses when I spotted Tris and Four slip out of a house and into the main line of Dauntless. They kept their heads down until Four turned to look at Tris. I saw Eric smirk out the corner of my eye and he reached out his hand to stop him. Max and I stopped walking and Tris went and stood behind Eric, as if she was waiting for Four. They both did a very good job of not making eye contact and staying focused.

"Legendary Four. Mindless drone. You were first in your class, now you're nothing." Eric said then walked away. We started walking again but I saw Four clench his jaw. I hoped Eric wouldn't have seen but of course, he did. He walked back and looked him in the eye.
