"Hey Brayden." Eric whispered in my ear and my eyes fluttered open.
"Hey Eric." I whispered back and he smiled brightly at me.
"How did you sleep?" He asked as he stroked my hair and I smiled.
"I slept great thanks." I said back and he leaned down and pressed a light kiss to my forehead.
"I have to go now, but I love you." He said then stood up.
"Where are you going?" I asked as I sat up from my bed.
"Away." He replied simply then walked out of the room. I stood up and chased after him, but I could never get close enough.
"Eric!" I shouted but he ignored me. I sprinted to him, but he kept getting farther and farther away.
"Eric!" I shouted as tears rolled down my face uncontrollably. I eventually stopped running and stared after him, he kept on walking away. Away from me.
.
I shot up with a gasp, and found myself to be covered in sweat. I sighed then slowly peeled my covers off me and went to the bathroom.
"It was just a dream." I whispered to myself, as I saw my reflection in the mirror. I had bags under my eyes and my face felt damp, I must have actually been crying. I turned on the hot water and stripped my clothes then stepped under the shower. I rinsed all the dirt off my body then just stood for awhile, letting my mind drift off. I thought about Eric mostly, not knowing whether he is alive or not. I had been having nightmares about him leaving me for the past couple of days and it wasn't nice. I heard a knock at the door so I sighed then turned the water off. I wrapped a towel around my body then left my hair out. I kind of hid behind the door as I opened it, but it was only Four.
"Hey." I whispered and opened the door wider, for him to come in.
"Are you alright Bray?" He asked me and he looked concerned.
"Honestly? No." I said then grabbed some clothes then walked to the bathroom. I put them on then brushed through my hair as dried it.
"What's wrong?" He asked me as I went and sat beside him on the couch.
"Just these dreams of Eric." I whispered and he looked at me sympathetically.
"I'm sorry Bray." He whispered then hugged me.
"Thanks Four." I whispered back as we pulled away.
"We will leave for Candor tomorrow, Evelyn has something that she needs to tell us." He said and I rolled my eyes.
"It better be important." I said then stood up. I quickly put on my boots, laced them up, then walked out with Four.
"Did she say what it's about?" I asked and he shook his head.
"No. She said we should get some lunch first then we will talk." He said and i scrunched my eyebrows.
"What time is it?" I asked and he checked his wrist.
"1 o'clock." He said and I laughed.
"Wow I must have needed that sleep." I said and he chuckled. We walked down the stairs and saw Tris sitting at the table with Caleb and they were having a pretty heated discussion. We were sitting on re ground floor but over to the back corner, so there wasn't many people around us.
"Hey guys." I said and sat down next to Tris.
"Good morning." She smiled at me and I chuckled.
"It's actually afternoon." I pointed out and she rolled her eyes playfully.
"This is for you." Evelyn came from nowhere, and gestured to the food on the table. I was feeling very hungry so I took stuff from the trays and scoffed them down.
