"He's such a jerk." {Chapter Five}

It rang a few times before he finally picked up. I didn’t think he would pick up.

“Hello?”

“You’re Cody Simpson’s cousin.” I blurted out.

He sighed. “Yep. You figured it out.”

“What’s so bad about me knowing?!” I asked, a little annoyed to be honest.

Everything Tad does now kind of annoys me, I don't know how to explain it.

“Nothing.” He said.

“This sucks.” I flat out said.

“Why?”

“Because I’m Cody’s neighbour.” I said.

“I’m smiling so big right now. That means I for sure get to see you. You are Cody’s friend…right?”

“You confuse me so much, Tad.” I blurted out.

“How..?”

“One minute you don’t have a care in the world for me…the next you’re all lovey dovey and stuff. I catch you making out with a girl…I move…you dump her…you say you love me…?” I said, feeling more confused than ever. I also felt a little used to be honest with you.

“Maggie. I didn’t mean to cheat.” He said.

“How can you not mean to cheat?”

“I don’t know, I just didn’t mean to…it was an accident.” He said.

I laughed a bit.

“What’s so funny?” He snapped.

“See. You’re like two-faced…one minute you’re nice…the next you’re a total jerk.” I said, trying to make him understand what he's doing to me.

“That’s cool.”

“I bet you’re with Allison right now.” I chuckled.

“No!” He said. 

I heard a girl giggle in the background.

“You honestly think I’m that stupid? I just heard her! I thought you dumped her?” I asked.

He laughed.

“What’s so funny?!” I snapped.

“I did dump Allison. Allison isn’t over.”

“Then who is that?”

“Brittany.” He said.

I gasped. “You player!”

“Oh my god, Maggie. Give it up. I’m pretty sure you know I’ve been a player for like…ever?” He said.

“And to think I might have actually wanted to hang out with you…” I said.

“Really?!” his voice sounded excited.

“No.” I hung up.

I felt like crying. I’m not jealous or anything. It just still kinda hurts me. I don’t even know why. I just need to get over him.

I walked back downstairs to find my mom just getting in the door.

“Hey sweetie!” she kissed my forehead. “How was your day?”

“It was pretty good! I went over to Co-err Alli’s house for a bit.”

“Glad you had fun.” She said.

I ran back upstairs to my room. I decided to go on twitter and facebook for a bit, just to check some things out and creep some people. I got bored of it really quickly though, so I shut my laptop.
