28. Comeback Pt.2

[JungKook's POV]

We walked out of van and hurried into the building. The show was starting in 30 minutes!! I don't know how we got here so late but we need to hurry.

While Noonas were touching up our makeup, (Y/N) was pacing back and forth. When Noona was done I walked up to her.

She stopped and looked at me with a worried expression. "Kookie-ssi..."

"Is something wrong? Are you okay?"Isheld her hands and squeezed them.

"I'm just...I'm scared for my solo."she looked down.

Oh, yeah! I forgot to tell you about that. She is singing Taeyeon Noona's song 'I'. That song honestly makes me cry. Just like when I  sang 'Born Singer.' But that's besides the point.

"You'll do fine. I believe in you."I smiled sincerely.

"Thank you, it's just, this was sort of last minute."she played with her fingers.

I lifted her chin to look at me. "It'll be okay. You got this."

She nodded and continued to practice. I was practicing Run with Hobi Hyung and Taehyung when we were interrupted by Manager-nim. "Show's in 5 minutes!"

We rushed out of the room and got ready to go onstage. I realized that (Y/N) was still in there. What was she doing?

[Your POV]

You ran all the way to your mom and dad's house to pick them up and then you got your friend (F/N) and ran back with them. They were happy—especially (F/N)—when you told them they had VIP tickets.

"Good luck, honey!"your parents called to you.

"You can do it!"(F/N) smiled and waved.

You walked back inside and heard music pumping. It was really loud. Their Manager seemed to be looking for you when you got to the backstage room.

"Um, right here."you said and tapped his shoulder.

He turned around. "Thank goodness! We need to get you backstage now!!"

He pushed you backstage. You were alone now. When BTS finished they introduced you...but didn't say you were dating Taehyung. 'Phew!'

While they were walking off, Namjoon patted your back and handed you his microphone.

Your heart was beating faster as you stepped on stage. You kept thinking to yourself all the encouraging words JungKook said to you.

'You'll do fine.'
'I believe in you.'
'It'll be okay.'
'You got this.'

You took a few breath and smiled. 'It'll be okay.'
