The king and the cat

Chapter 18

The next day when word had gotten around that Kuroi had attacked Laura, a certain cat demon was very pissed off. As soon as she had arrived she stormed into the school looking for Kuroi to kick his ass.  The pissed off feline was obviously Mitsuki, on her way to find him she was stopped by Nick who was leaning against her locker; he had finally came back to the school and was wearing a muscle shirt and basketball shorts, an easygoing smile was on his face for once not the usual forced one he had on sometimes. "You just missed King ripping Kuroi a new one, he got locked away again too." he informed her as she looked frustrated. The fact that Kuroi had stolen Laura's first kiss also pissed her off, Laura hated sweets and the fact that she was even willing to eat ice cream and chocolate pretty much shows how affected she is by that. It took her a moment to notice that he was leaning against her locker and gave him a questioning look. "I'm taking you out today so I wanted to catch you before you got bored to death in class," he began looking away and tried to mentally prepare him for rejection from her, "There's a sweets place nearby and couples get half off. I thought you might wanna go and I haven't really seen you in a while so..." the silence between them was really making him nervous.

"You know what? Sure." was not the answer he was expecting. He expected to be rejected not accepted, "Just move over so I can put my stuff in my locker." Mitsuki said and watched him scramble out of he way. "Really?" he asked her wanting to be sure he heard her right. Rolling her eyes she opened her locker, "I could've just gone to class instead idiot, so do you want to go or what?" she asked closing her door again. Blinking slowly a wide bright grin made it onto his face, he grabbed her hand and tugged her along to lead the way. "What kind of question is that?" he asked her, "I'm the one who was nice enough to ask ya to go Mitt. A lot of people would kill for this opportunity ya know." he said causing her eye to twitch in annoyance. "Don't ruin it you idiot and stop calling me Mitt." she growled and followed anyways. Laughing he took her to the place he had told her about, taking a moment to whisper quietly with the hostess who awed when she looked between them and led them to a private booth. After she left them a menu she pointed the two out to the other employees and awed over how cute they looked. Chuckling softly, Nick turned his attention to Mitsuki again, "Get whatever you want. It's on me."

She ended up getting some chocolate cake slice and a smoothie as well while Nick got some raspberry slices and a glass of water. When the waitress nudged him and muttered something in his ear he ended up smiling sheepishly, "She thinks I was going to propose." he stated casually after the waitress had left the two alone, his eyes swimming with amusement as he watched her reaction. Hearing that Mitsuki nearly choked on her cake and took a quick sip of her smoothie. "Relax." he chuckled, "It's just what she thinks, I wouldn't propose on the first date anyways." and reached over, wiping off a bit of icing off the corner of her lip with his thumb. "Thanks I guess?" she said unsurely as she ate her cake. At the moment she wasn't sure of how she felt about him at the moment, she wasn't sure of how to feel with him being nice to her. Looking at him she asked, "so you mind explaining as to why you asked me out?" Glancing up, "What are you talkin' about?" he asked, "Just cause I tease you doesn't mean I'm a total ass. They had a sale and besides you like sweets. I haven't had my daily dose of Mitt in a while and you don't skip class nearly enough anymore."

"I don't skip class cause I promised my uncle that I'd keep Kanota safe at school." Mitsuki explained to him. Nick shook his head a little, "King's got that covered, trust me. Nobody will be touching the queen or even looking at her wrong with him around." knowing that Claw is protective of the girl was pretty well known to him and Tenshi. Well Tenshi wouldn't tease Claw about it but Nick definitely would tease them both. Mitsuki ended up giving Nick a questionable look about the nickname, Kanota hated attention and that nickname would give her a lot of it. "Queen huh? Wouldn't that nickname give her a lot of attention, especially from his fangirls?"she questioned knowing that the fangirls were even hard for her to deal with herself. "Possibly, who knows 'Scowling Princess.'" Nick smirked teasingly, saying the nickname that Mitsuki had earned herself at the school without her choice. He had to hold his hands up in surrender when she kicked him under the table, "I'm not the one who started with that nickname," he grinned at her, "I happen to like your scowling face. It's cute." he commented. Mitsuki turned her head away to hide a faint blush and continued to drink her smoothie, "It's not cute idiot..."

"It definitely is. Most things about you are," he said and managed to make eye contact with her, "Though when you smile you look beautiful." causing the blush to deepen to a darker shade of red. The feline's ear twitched when she heard one of the waitresses coo and call them cute, wondering when he was going to propose to her. So instead of yelling at her Mitsuki threw a fork at the girl, nearly hitting her side. "Be nice Mitt." Nick laughed and watched her finish her smoothie. When the hostess came by with the bill he paid for it without taking his eyes off of the girl in front of him. He made a mental note to take in what she looked like at that moment in front of him. Technically it would be considered a date and the fact that she said yes almost had him cheering inside of the school before they left.

Seeing him staring at her Mitsuki told him, "Take a picture. It'll last longer." Smoothly he said, "That an offer? Cause I don't think it'd capture your beauty correctly anyways." Mitsuki was pretty glad that she wasn't facing him or she'd definitely have a very red face from that. Once they were ready to leave he walked her back to the school gate and gave her a mock bow, "Your stop m'lady." he laughed lightly as the girl rolled her eyes instead. When she kissed his cheek and walked to her motorcycle he smiled softly and headed home, gently touching the spot where she kissed him.

In another area of the school Kanota was in Yume's office talking to the dream eater. She found a way for her and Aki to be two separate people, not as two people taking control of one body. But two different bodies entirely. Kanota could be herself the whole time, not worrying if other have found out about her and Aki, and go out at night with her friends and have fun with them. And Aki would finally be able to be where she pleased during the day light instead of waiting in the dark. While waiting Kanota looked around in the office she was currently in, it was actually neat and tidy though she wondered why there was a large mirror only in Yume's office. When Yume finally returned, coming out of the large mirror in her office, she came back with two bracelets, they were both silver with a gem in the center. A blue one for Kanota and a red one for Aki. Once the bracelet was on Kanota's wrist there was a blinding light in the room, both of the females covering their eyes to keep themselves from being blinded. Once the light faded, Aki was sitting next to Kanota on a cot; they looked like twin sisters.

"Nice to finally see ya in person Kanota." Aki said giving the shy girl a grin and nearly jumped in surprise when the shy girl hugged her. "I'm glad to finally meet you as well Aki-chan." Kanota said politely and let her go afterwards. "Now you two," Yume said looking at the two girls catching their attention, "as long as one of you has the bracelet on you'll be two separate bodies. Just take it off when you want to merge into one like before or just think about it." she instructed and placed the other bracelet on Aki's wrist. Nodding Kanota took Aki to the register to be enrolled into the school. As soon as Kuroi got out however, he would definitely go after Aki for revenge.

The next day at school there was a rival school meeting with some of the other teams of the high school. They were going to compete in many different games the next few days and they wanted to change it up a bit. If the rival school lost a majority of the games they would have to be bound to Claw, expanding his kingdom a lot further. "So is the terms agreeable?" Claw asked the other school leader with Nick standing behind him, the rest of the school listening and watching the talk go on. "Yes however if we win we want something that's just as valuable." they said catching Claw's attention briefly, "If we win we want your 'Queen' and 'Princess' to join our school." a serious look appearing in Claw's eyes. "Why would you want them?" he asked cautiously, already making plans on how to win the school games. "Some of our artistic club wants them as models." they shrugged earning a confused look from Nick and Claw till they saw the pictures. One of the artist club members drew Kanota in a small cheerleading outfit with pigtails, though that did look adorable the said girl was embarrassed, the next one was with Mitsuki wearing a leather jacket on top of a small tube top and black shorts straddling a motorcycle giving the viewer an angry but flustered look, Mitsuki got irritated and had to be calmed down by Kanota and Kit; Laura couldn't see anyways so she didn't really care about what was going on. The last one though was Kanota in chains, looking like a sex slave, attached to Mitsuki who wore a leather bra, shorts and held a whip in her hands; her tongue licking her lips in a seductive manor and from the picture it was a 'dominate the innocent or be submissive to me bitch'. Nick nearly lost the smile from his face when he saw the pictures of Mitsuki and Claw nearly attacked the other school leader for showing pictures like that in his kingdom. From the dark stare that the two were receiving the thought they had was, 'We don't have a choice in losing...' Making eye contact Claw said determined and very seriously, "We won't lose to your school."
