Chapter 23

Over the next few days things at the school were peaceful. It seemed as if nothing could happen during this peaceful moment. However that soon changed fast when they were hit hard by something they weren't expecting. Yume, the dream eater and teacher of the high school, was attacked and was found in her office badly injured. Her once perfectly smooth skin was covered in cuts and bruises, layers of blood caked her hair from its silver color to a deep scarlet red. The eye patch that was normally hidden by her hair was gone and so was the violet swirled with blue eye as well. Outside students watched Nick, Tenshi and Mira tend to the dream eaters wounds with shocked silence. Others whispered thinking it was Kuroi, seeing as he was the one who randomly attacked other students, though it would be the first time he's attacked a teacher. Some thought it was his brother Jay, the boy had been acting strange recently. "I don't understand..." Tenshi mumbled in shock as he treated the female's injured form, he couldn't think of any reason for others to attack the dream eater. Nick was livid as he wrapped some injuries of hers, he would definitely beat the crap out of Kuroi if it was him who harmed the favorite teacher. "It wasn't Kuroi, he's been well behaved." Claw said as he watched them do their best to heal her, beside him sat Kuroi on the dream eaters desk. "The incubi invaded the dream realm," the gray haired male informed the group before him. While incubi were known to be the male form of succubi they were also a violent race, spreading to various realms to conquer them. It took a long time to open a portal to another realm but if they had a dream eater's eye,  and knew how to activate it, they wouldn't take much time to get to the other realms.

Students began to panic like ants would if their colony was disturbed. When word got out that there was an area that they could get to for safety, they were lead out by Mitsuki and Aki. Kanota helped those that got lost trying to get there as a red reptile flew in the sky, watching the group from above. When left in an area that they left exclusively for the injured, Yume laid there unconscious having a look of pain on her face as if having a horrible nightmare, in her case seeing through the other eye of what they were doing to her people and how they poked and prodded the orb trying to activate the power contained in the eye. Beside her Jay sat there staring with sad eyes and brushed her hair from her face. Even though she had pushed him away after their one night together, he couldn't deny he felt something for the girl. "....Incubi don't love..." he mumbled as he stared at the dream eater and held his head with his hands, "If that's true then why do I care so much about her...." his voice cracked softly.
