Chapter 14

(Ella's POV)

We hopped off the train, and walked into the woods. Here, it was darker. Nothing looked well. Everything was dead or decaying.

"What happened here?" Zayn asked, and he looked like he was going to cry.

"Aislinn," Harry spoke softly, moving us along. I looked at the trees beside me as I walked. One looked almost like it was reaching out for help. I felt so bad. So much life was destroyed. Who could do something like this? You have to be truly evil to accomplish something as horrifying as this. We moved along to where there were no trees. The ground was bare, and all you could see were piles of wood.

It was obviously that it had once been a small village of some kind. I saw a little piece of pink fabric laying on the ground. I picked it up. It was soft to the touch, and when I looked closely I could see that it had a faded image of a beige bunny. It must've belonged to the dress of a little girl. I went to my knees and cried. On top of killing nature, Aislinn killed children. This is sick and cruel. It's unfair. These people were innocent!

I didn't realize I had fallen asleep there on the ground until Harry shook me awake.

"Come on, Ella. We have to get moving," he said soothingly. As I sat up, my back and neck hurt really badly. We walked a bit farther until Liam spotted something.

"Get down!" he hissed. I hid behind a bush with Harry. I didn't understand why until I heard the shallow breathing of something. It didn't quite understand the danger present. I peeked out from the side of the bush to see a wolf. It had bloodshot eyes and a fluid of the same color seeping through its teeth. The thing that made it horrifying was the size of it. This beast was at least my height. it had bones sticking out of its pelt, but also gave off a sense of strength that I couldn't push away.

It howled loudly before running off to where we came from. Following it were five or six other wolves of the same demeanor. We all stood up as soon as we thought it was safe.

"What was that?" Louis asked, looking terrified. My mind travelled back to the books I had read.

"It's a...oh, God...I can't quite put my finger on the name--" I was speaking my thoughts aloud. I searched and searched through my brain for the name of the creature on the tip of my tongue.

"Abbadon," Harry whispered. I nodded. That's the name.

"It's dangerous, but not nearly as close as the other creatures we can encounter. Everybody, keep an eye out," I commanded, and they all nodded.

"Took command there. I like the new Ella," Harry whispered with a rasp into my ear. I shook my head and punched his shoulder playfully.

sorry that it's a short chapter but i promise the next chapter will have ellary moments okay was that the ship name or was it something else idk
