She's alive is all I could think of when I saw her eyebrow slightly move. The first thing I needed to do was find an ambulance outside. I ran as fast as I could with the wind behind until I felt the rush of warm air as I bolted through the sliding doors. Police cars were everywhere and one ambulance was parked on the far right side of the parking lot. It didn't take the workers long to realize Lotte. A boy with deep brown hair and a girl with red pigtails brought out a moving bed. I sat her on it and looked at the girl I cared for more than anyone else. Her hair had been taken down from the braid and her face had dirt on it. They slowly took her away as I held her hand. All the could do was pray she could still be alive when this was all over. I wanted to be at her side when she woke or when they unhooked her from the machine. Either way, I had other priorities until then. I turned around and headed toward a police car as the ambulance drove off. The officer had Kat in the back seat. "You must be Carter," the officer said as he held out his hand. I shook it and replied "yes". I let go of his hand and thought of one thing. "Officer, where are the arrested boys?" The man pointed at two cars, each possessing two men. The one with Cole in it caught my eye immediately. I walked over to the car and stared through the window at him. It took him little to no time to role down the window. "I was framed Carter. You know this," he said as he began to tear up. I looked down at my feet full of anger, full of disgust that someone would do this to anyone. "No, Cole your not. You're off the jail because you can't control yourself around any women. You deserve jail," I replied as I turned around. I took all of about two steps before hearing, "please, tell a Lotte I love her." I turned around and said, "No Cole you don't. You love yourself and that's all." I left and I knew what I needed to do now.
