For the longest time, all I saw was darkness, until I woke up from what felt like an eternity of death. I was sweating and breathing extremely heavy. I felt weak, like I had just been run over with a tank. As my eyesight began to ajust, I realized I was in a hospital room, alone. It was quiet and for once I was relaxed. I looked around the room trying to find a way to tell someone I was alive. Screaming? Pointless, too weak. Banging on something? Same reason. My eye soon caught my cell phone on a table to my right. It was covered in dirt and blood. I reached down and picked it up and began to wipe off the blood from the screen. The only thing I could manage was a text to Carter saying "hi". After two minutes, the door opened and those blue eyes caught me off guard. He threw himself at me and squeezed me as tight as he could. "Carter" I said with the little breath I possessed. He let go and apologized before grabbing both my hands. "Lotte, I'm really into you. By any chance, would you, I don't know..." I cut him. "I'd love too," I replied. His hand shifted from my hand to the edge of my check. This kiss after was like Cole's but felt like it was given from someone who actually cared. It didn't take long for the girls to find out I was up. Cassandra and Jillian came to my room with chocolate and told me what had happened to Kat. She and the boys were in jail for attempt at murder and kidnapping but since it was on multiple accounts they weren't getting parole anytime soon. They also told me Zoe was pretty beat up. She had taken some hard blows but she made it. I needed to see her. Carter was able to help me walk across the hall to see her. "Zoe?" I said as I opened the door. "Lotte? Lotte!" She screamed as she waved her hands in every way she could. It took me a little while but I threw my hands around my best friend. "I'm so happy you're okay," I said. "I took a lot of blows but the last time I saw you, you were basically dead," she replied looking at my scraps a stitching. "What's the worst of you damage?" I asked, scared of the answer. "I can't fight anymore and I'm stuck in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. The knife cut part of my leg somehow. The doctors aren't sure but I'm gonna live," she replies do with a huge smile on her face. I felt so sorry for the girl. I knew she needed recovery sleep like I did so I left her. It was good for me because I had some people I needed to talk to.
