"Hey Lotte," I heard Cole say as he gently shook me awake from my nap. I opened my eyes and saw everyone getting their stuff together. "Are we about to land?" I asked him. "Yea. As soon as the plane took off you were out like a light. I didn't want to disturb you," he said as he put his headphones in his backpack. I looked at him again. He had changed clothes. He was now wearing a black collared shirt with the same pair of dark jeans and a nice pair of dress shoes. "You look nice," I told him as he handed me my duffle bag. "Thanks, but you may wanna brush your hair, bedhead," he said as he tossed me my hairbrush and a hand mirror. I opened up the hand mirror and looked at my glass reflection. He was right. I quickly brushed out my hair, put it in a side braid, and put both objects in my bag. I looked back at him and asked, "better?" He looked back at me and said, "You looked good before but now you look perfect." As we stared into each other's eyes I heard Zoe softly cough. "I hate to distract you guys from making out but Lotte can I talk to you," she said as she walked back over to her seat. I got up and walked over to where she and that teenager had been sitting. "Where's the dude you were sitting with?" I asked. "With his friend. You'll never believe this. We actually hit it off. I really like him and I think he really likes me and plus I got his number," she said as she shook her phone around. "Question did you get his name?" "Duh it's Nathan and he wants to hang out with me while we're in D.C." I looked at the smile on her face. She was so happy and for once it wasn't about avoiding a door. "Congrats girl," I said and walked back over to my seat. Once the plan landed, I met up with the everyone. Cassandra and Dexter were holding hands and Jillian was with Trevor talking about books. We all grabbed our suitcases and found the limo with Cole and my names on it. Zoe poked me in the side and said, "told you." Cole and I waved goodbye and got into the limo. The driver drove us to Library of Congress. On the way, I had Cole come me down multiple times because of how stressed I was. When we arrived, I grabbed my cell and walked inside. The library was amazing. Every part of it was breathtaking. On the second floor, I saw quite a few security guards and assumed that must be where the president and First Lady were. We walked up the stair case and walked up to the security guard. "Cole Adams and Lotte Jackson to see Mr. and Mrs. Daniels," Cole said with a big smile on his face. The guard moved aside and we saw the two important figures. They were sitting in two metal chairs. Cole and I sat across from them. "Hello Cole and Lotte. I'm glad u could make it," the president said. "Glad to be here but out of curiosity why did you want to see us exactly?" Cole asked. I elbowed him in the side. "Ow," he said. The First Lady giggled and replied, "You two have fought the terrorist group and have seen there leader. You may be our only way to defeat them. Our leader of FBI training has offered to work with you and his best student has offered to work with your friends." I thought about the offer. "Ok where would we be working and what would we be doing?" I asked. I had more questions but those two were the only ones that came out of my mouth. "Right now here in D.C. but you may be leaving for Iraq soon. Our Intel has told us that there's been a disturbance. As far as what you would be doing, research. We need you to tell us everything that may help us track them down. Plus training. If they do try to come after you, we need you in perfect condition so a military officer has offered to train you and yours friends daily," he said. I thought about everything I would be doing. I looked at Cole and he nodded. "So do we have a deal?" he asked us. "We're in," I said to him. We left the library and got back in the limo. The driver drove us to a nearby hotel. When we headed inside with our stuff, we saw Cassandra and Dexter. "Hey guys how did the meeting go," Cassandra asked. "We're now working for the government," I replied. "Great, oh and here's the key to our room and Trevor is still upstairs," she told us as I held the card in my hand. They waved goodbye and we went inside. We walked over to the elevator. As we got in, I pressed three and five. As the we went up, Cole said, "hey call me when you're done unpacking." "Ok I will," I replied as the elevator dinged. I kissed his cheek and got off. I walked down the hall and went to the door that read 315. I slid the card into the lock and heard it open. I walked in and threw my stuff on the last bed available. I sat on my bed and decided to relax for a bit.
