The wine and blood combine beneath the bones

Still wet from it's taken life

The candle wax drips onto the floor

Wax and blood are hard to clean.

The heady smell from

The wine

The candles

The sacrifice

Hurts the head

And burns the nose

Her hands are tough from past sacrifices

But her head is heavy and her mind is weak

She has done this ritual countless times

Yet it feel different this time, as

Her hands shake

Her heart races

The sun seeps in

A voice whispers in the air

The candles snuff out

She smiles

The Gods are pleased.
