Chapter 2

    I pulled up to the library right when my car clock turned to 5:55. Sure I came early. Early is better than late.

    I saw a yellow mustang pull up a couple of car spaces away from my black GTO.

    I got out of my car, and saw Alex get out of the yellow mustang.

      " Hey your early", he said.

         " Ya well I just wanted to make sure you were going to show up.", I said.

        " Why wouldn't I come?", he asked.

           " I don't know, but I'm new here and everyone says that you say to meet somewhere but you either won't show up or you will stay for like 5 minutes and then ditch.", I said.

     " Listen, that was the old me. I used to do that, but now I don't.", he said.

       " How do I know your not lying to me?", I asked.

   " I promise I won't leave.", he said. I gave him a how-do-I-know-your-telling-the-truth look. He shook his head and chuckled. "When I make a promis, I never break that promise."

    I looked into his eyes and saw calm waves on a beach and I felt myself begin to relax. I desided to trust him.

   " Well we don't want to fail our homework assignment now would we?", I said smiling, a small and sort of flirtasious smile.

    I walked up the steps to the library doors as Alex began to follow.

    Half an hour later, both Alex and I were sitting on a couch laughing and smiling till our cheeks and stumachs hurt.

    I had asked a lot of questions, which he aswered quickly.

          " This may sound weird, but do you want to go to a movie sometime with me?", he suddenly asked.

     " Sure, I'd love too!", I said, my whole face lighting up even more.

    He smiled and took out his phone and handed it to me. I put my phone number in and hit the save button, then handed my phone and his back to him. He put his mumber in my phone and handed it back to me.

    " I got to get going. My dad wants my help on his car engine.", Alex said.

  "Ok, well I'll see you tomorrow at school then.", I said.

       Alex looked at me like I was insaine. "You know tomorrow is Saturday right?", he asked.

   My eyes widdend. I could feel my cheeks heating up. "Yea oops!', I said.

       He chuckled and said, "It's alright. By the way you look really cute when you blush. And with that he got up off the couch and left the library. I thought about what he said and felr a smile spread across my face. I couldn't stop smiling all the way home.
