"And we're home again" I smile, Amelia in my arms
"Mama!" Amelia squeals, seeing her 'mother' and running into her arms
Belle catches her and picks her up, swirling her around and around in her arms. I smile at the beautiful sight that is my family. A forced family.
"Hey baby, how was your little outing?" Belle coos
"It was so much fun, we saw the trees and the lake and there was a beautiful cabin that used to belong to,"
"Okay, that's enough, go and play in the living room" I interrupt her
"Yes papa" she nods, squirming out of Belle's arms and running through the door to the living room
"What was that about?" Belle frowns
"Nothing dearie, she was just talking too much and you were getting tired" I lie
"Whose cabin was she talking about?" Belle asks
"To be honest Belle, I don't know, we saw a cabin and she thought it was pretty and she came up with the idea that someone lived there" I lie again
"Her imagination is pretty crazy" Belle sighs
"Exactly" I nod
"Now you go and play with our daughter while I get dinner ready" I add, kissing her lips
She smiles at me, following Amelia's footsteps into the living room.
