Robin
I walk into the room to find Regina lying in bed, her eyes half open and staring blankly at ceiling. I sit down beside her and take her hand, making her snap out of her trance.
"Hey babe, sorry I made you jump" I whisper
"It's okay" she smiles weakly
"How are you feeling?" I ask
"Okay, I'm in quite a lot of pain but I'll be fine" she sighs
"Good, I'm glad" I nod
She puts a hand to her stomach and her eyes grow with fear
"Darling? What's wrong?" I panic
"I've lost the baby haven't I?" she mumbles, tears running down her face
"No darling, you haven't, they're perfectly fine" I reassure her
"Are you sure?" she frowns
"Perfectly sure, they're here where they should be" I nod, putting a hand gently on her stomach
She nods, tears of relief running down her face
"But you're under strict bed rest for a few months" I add
"By who this time?" she laughs
"Me since you scared the life out of me earlier" I laugh back
"Sorry babe" she smiles, squeezing my hand lightly
"Don't do it again" I smile
"I promise" she nods
I sit up and wrap my arms around her, being careful not to hurt her.
"I love you" she whispers
"I love you too" I whisper back
She pulls apart from me gently and looks down at the covers as if she's guilty of something.
"What's the matter?" I frown
"I couldn't get the locator spell to work, I failed, you're not going to find your daughter" she admits
"Hey, that doesn't matter right now, I'll find her, it may take a little longer but we'll do it, what matters now is that you're okay" I reassure her
She nods simply and I kiss her lips softly
"You could ask Emma, she'll do it for you" she whispers
"Let's not worry about that now darling, we'll talk to about it later, get some rest now" I whisper
She nods and she's asleep almost straight away; fatigue taking over her weak body. I kiss her forehead softly before exiting the room quietly, leaving her in peace.
