It's been two hours since Regina went into labour and Robin hasn't come back. I've called him at least 30 times and he still isn't picking up, while Regina isn't looking of course because she doesn't want him here. I don't think it will make a difference whether he's here or not but he needs to know or it will just cause more trouble.
Regina's labour is progressing rapidly, the contractions becoming more intense but less frequent, which is concerning both Snow and I.
"That's it Regina breathe, in and out nice and slow" I whisper to her as she goes through another painful contraction
"AHHH! I CAN'T!!" she screams
"Yes you can, come on" I reassure her, making dramatic breaths and she copies me
"AHHHH! I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE!" she cries
"You don't have a choice" I laugh
"Mother! This isn't funny!" she snaps
"Sorry, darling" I smile, hiding my silent giggles
"Don't mess with Regina when she's in labour, Robin ended up with a black eye when Sophia was being born" Snow laughs
"He deserved it!" Regina moans
No one says anything, the whole room goes quiet.
"I'm going to try and call Robin again" I whisper to Snow
"Mother, don't!" Regina mumbles
"Regina, he needs to know!" I argue
She's about to argue when another contraction comes on, silencing her. I take that as my cue to leave the room.
I pull out my phone again and call Robin for the hundredth time today.
Ring, ring, ring... answer phone
"Damn it Robin!" I mutter to myself
Suddenly, the phone starts to ring, the caller ID reading Robin. I breathe a sigh of relief...
