Róisín took the key from the pot beside her, picked up her phone and proceeded to lock the door and walk into the bustling hallway .the vast majority of people were moving in this weekend therefore the corridors were swamped with people carrying bags and trying to unlock the door at the same time. Róisín thought to herself "maybe I should go and meet my new neighbours. Well I am going to be seeing them every day for the next few years "so it was settled, she was going to meet the neighbours. Suddenly she heard a large thump come from her neighbours' room, this was her chance.

Róisín walked into the room and was almost suddenly struck by a lovely aroma, they were burning scented candles. Róisín looked around but couldn't find her neighbour anywhere, "hello, I'm new, I've just moved into room 238. I heard a loud noise come from here. Is everything okay?" is what she wanted to say but instead what she said was "hello, is anybody in?" suddenly she felt the ground rushing up to meet her "boo" was shouted immediately after. Róisín rolled over onto her stomach clutching her leg in her hands "what was that, you could have killed me " she knew she was being melodramatic but she had to get her point across "calm down love, I was just having a laugh... sorry I don't believe I have properly introduced myself..."she interrupted him "no you haven't..." he didn't look impressed at the interruption but he carried on anyways."as I was saying, my name's john and I swear that scented candle is not mine " she realised that he had seen her 'casually' judging him for it and noticed he was waiting for her to introduce herself, so she did " the name's Jones, Róisín Jones and I'm from the room next to this, 238...and I totally will not judge you for loving scented candles as long as you get me one ". she could tell she had him impressed as he went silent for a moment which she had learnt to recognise as a sign of approval "I am surprised you used that reference , you don't seem the nerdy sort " he shouldn't be so quick to stereotype " my friend you are only scratching the surface of Róisín Jones" and with that sentence she left .john obviously wanted to get the last word in as he came to the door and yelled " I'll see you soon Rosian Jones " , she rolled her eyes , this was the fifth time today that someone had mispronounced her name but she never tired of putting them right " it's Róisín as in Ro-sheen ,not Rosian but I'm sure I'll see you around"

Róisín waltzed into her room, content that she had mingled enough for today, sat down on her chair, got out her laptop and started her chemistry revision. Since she was taking the higher class, she had to do ten percent more revision than the others, so she might as well get a head-start today.
