They may have been taking things slow but she had already fallen pretty hard for him. He showed up at the door in a plain back suit, his best black Ray bans and 12 red roses in hand. He handed her the flowers whilst down on one knee. "Róisín Jones may I say, you look stunning ", he got up off his knee and gazed intently into her eyes." Levi Meyer may I say you look incredibly handsome this evening ". She quickly put the roses in a cup on the worktop and proceeded to lock the door. They walked to his car which he had brought to the door earlier, their hands intertwined and swinging to the beat of her heart.
"All of me" by john legend was playing in his car. The soft melody relaxed her into her seat. He took one arm off the steering wheel and relaxed it over her shoulders, embracing her. The car ride there was a short one but it was romantic, after the song had finished it had been silent. The atmosphere was slightly tense but not to the point of awkwardness. Róisín glanced out of the window as they turned into the restaurant. It was stunning, there was a balcony overlooking the river and it was perfect timing as the sun was about to set. Levi could be so very sweet; he was one of the most romantic people who she had ever met.
They walked into the restaurant hand in hand, he gave his surname into the receptionist and they were led up the staircase to the balcony. There was only one table on the balcony which gave it the most amazing feel. Around the railings, fairy lights were strung. On the table was a vase of red roses and beside it was a bottle of red wine with two glasses. "I gave up an arm and a leg for these seats. I know you like the view". He may be soppy but she loved him just how he was. He kept her sane when she was worrying. He loved her. He pulled out her chair for her and tucked it in under her, he uncorked the red wine and poured them both a stingy amount, and she would have to refill it later. He was right, the view was stunning. She could see the whole skyline of London from her seat. So many people, so many lives. But out of all of them, he chose her.
"Hunnie, will you get me some more wine?" she batted her eyelids seductively. Instead of hollering for a server, he reached under the table and produced a bottle of champagne. "Will champagne suffice milady?" He produced an almighty grin along with the champagne flutes. He filled both flutes almost to the brim."Levi Meyer, are you trying to get me drunk? Because it's working" she raised the glass to her lips and took a small sip. They ordered their meals and desserts. She gazed out over London from her seat, she was astonished, the sunset was amazing, the champagne was good and the company was truly divine.
They left an hour later.
When they got back, there was a hunched over figure outside Róisín's door. They nervously approached the figure. "Get behind me, now!" whispered Levi. As they inched towards him, Róisín recognised him. John was drunk, again. How could he drink on a school night, they had had a deal. Drink as much as they liked on the weekends but stay sober on the weekdays.
"there is a lot of stuff you should know about him..."john drunkenly slurred."How much do you really know him, think Rosie" she shot a look in Levis direction, his face shifted to a bright red colour. He was embarrassed. What had he not told her that was so embarrassing? A smile drifted across johns face, he was happy about this.
"What is it" she said "what have you done that's so bad that you couldn't tell me?". Levi was ashamed; she awaited an answer that he would refuse to give her.
