"You're so naughty!" Cheryl giggled as she tried to regain her breath, patting the smirking blonde’s stomach. "Me McMuffin is goin' to be cold now!"

"Shall I remind you of the joke you made earlier?" Kimberley winked. Reaching down, she grabbed hold of the cover and pulled it above both their heads. “I’m not the naughty one!” she laughed, tickling her side. “Anyway, I just can’t keep my little hands off you!”

Cheryl burst into a fit of giggles. “Stop it!” she protest, batting Kimberley’s hands away. Eventually stopping their movement by clutching onto them tightly, she let out a content sigh. “Can I tell you a secret?” she asked, snuggling closer to her as they remained shielded by the thick duvet.

Staring into Cheryl’s brown, shining eyes, Kimberley smiled. “Yeah,” she nodded before leaning down to claim her lips in a delicate kiss, her hand breaking free and reaching up to stroke her soft cheek lovingly.

“The very first time I saw you, do you remember? When you were walkin’ Pixie and Buster ran over?” Cheryl started, wrapping her arms around the blonde and pulling her closer.

“Yeah,” hesitates Kimberley, not really keen on the idea of talking about the past.

“Well, I thought you were the sexiest thing,” continued Cheryl. “When I got back into me flat I couldn’t stop thinkin’ about you,” she confessed. Noticing the unusual silence, she looked up at the woman, frowning to herself. “Are you ok, baby?”

“I just don’t want to drag up the past, that’s all.”

She let out a frustrated sigh, her arms unconsciously loosening around her body. “You know... one day we will laugh about it,” she buttered adamantly, although, she wasn’t planning on saying it out loud.

Kimberley didn’t respond, seemingly deep in thought.

Propping herself up on her elbow, Cheryl turned to face her, pushing the cover off of their heads and using her feet to kick it down. “Why is it still such a touchy subject for you? I was the one that got hurt in all of it.”

The words cut through Kimberley like a knife, her eyes flicking shut to halt the fresh tears threatening her lids. She knew Cheryl was the one that got hurt, but she was also deeply hurt with what happened... with her actions. “Why do you insist we talk about it?” she let out. “Your timing is spot on, too,” she jokingly added, referring to their heated exchange only moments earlier.

Cheryl automatically felt bad and shuffled closer. “I’m sorry,” she apologised. “I just thought it would be an issue we could talk about.”

“We can talk about it,” Kimberley nodded. “If that’s what you really want. I just don’t want anything to ruin this moment, though.”

“Sorry,” Cheryl smiled, her head also nodding. “You’re right. I just wanted to tell you what I thought; I wasn’t tryin’ to drag it up.”

The blonde pursed her lips together before leaning forward to kiss her girlfriend softly. “Start again then,” she whispered as they broke apart.

“Well...” Adjusting herself so her head was resting on Kimberley’s shoulder, her finger gently drawing small imaginary circles around her cute little belly button, Cheryl kissed her neck tenderly before continuing. “I thought you were the sexiest woman I’d ever laid eyes on, your lips, your body, your accent and your sexy voice, everything,” she giggled. “And when I went in I couldn’t stop thinkin’ about you.”

“So, you fancied me?” Kimberley teased, her hand weaving through her brunette locks and softly playing with the hair.

“At the time, no, but lookin’ back now, I suppose I probably did,” Cheryl answered honestly. “I knew I fancied you when you kissed me that night after you dragged me into your party. What did you think when you first met me? Different to what you thought?”

“I thought...” Thinking about it, Kimberley stopped mid sentence. “I knew you were petite but I couldn’t believe how small you actually were,” she chuckled. “I also didn’t think you would have been as beautiful as you are on tele and in pictures, you know, because we’re in the day and age where all celebrities are airbrushed within an inch of their lives and caked in make up to make them look better that what they actually do. And I thought you were lovely.”

Cheryl comprehended the confession in her mind as she placed a few sweet kisses on Kimberley’s shoulder blade. “I suppose that’s fair,” she voiced, deliberately not bringing up the fact that she’d wrote some pretty nasty articles about her in the past.

It was a wonder to her why she had never asked Kimberley’s last name when they’d first met, because she’d sure as hell have recognised her if she had. “When did you realise you fancied me?”

“I was confused for ages before I finally realised I wanted you,” Kimberley shyly grins, her cheeks blushing.

“You make it sound so dirty!” Cheryl winked, extending her leg over her bottom half; their feet touching as she unconsciously began to rub her own against the blondes. “So, you wanted me...” she flirted.

“I mean... I knew I fancied you... you know what I mean,” Kimberley stuttered, causing the Geordie to burst out laughing.

“I sure do,” Cheryl responded, her hand running down her body.

“Cheryl! Do you want me to tell you or not?” Kimberley chuckled, her mind wondering off as the woman began to trail her hand lower.

Teasingly, Cheryl ran a finger down between her legs before quickly pulling away and going back to her previous position. “Ok, tell me,” she smirked innocently.

Flicking her eyes back open, which she has let shut only seconds earlier, the blonde lets out a frustrated sigh. “Ok,” she mumbled, composing herself. “Where was I? Ohh yeah... I was confused up until the point we were dancing with each other at the party, do you remember? When you told me I had a sexy arse and then I told you that I loved your dimples.”

“When you embarrassment the sh*t out of me by bringing up the sexiest woman thing?”

“Yeah,” she giggles.

“What made you realise?” Cheryl asked as she leant forward to kiss her neck once more.

Kimberley thought for a moment, her hand tangling back into her brunette locks. “I am not sure. I think it was ‘cos of the feelings you were giving me when you were paying me compliments, they were making me feel things I shouldn’t have.”

“Horny?” Cheryl huskily breathed.

“Now that would be telling,” Kimberley shot back, giggling when she began trailing her hand down again.

“I have another secret.”

“What’s that then?” she sighed.

“When you woke up and I was sitting at the desk, I was thinkin’ of a song that popped into me head while I was watchin’ you sleep.”

Kimberley noted the shyness in her voice and smiled. “Tell me it.”

“Ok,” Cheryl blushed, pulling back to look at her. “No one needs to know how I feel,” she started, her eyes shining brightly, her cheeks burning. “No one needs to understand.”

The blonde couldn’t contain her overwhelment and reached up to stroke her cheek.

“Cause they can't have a hold on us.”

“It's not just any kind of love.”

Her heart jumped upon heard the word love. She bit down onto her bottom lip in a bid to control her emotions.

“I know when something is too sacred to touch.”

She was sure Cheryl hadn’t even noticed she’d said it.

“That’s as far as I got.”
