----------------------------------
"Shut up, Ryan!" I hiss, laughing. Felix chuckles silently in the seat next to me.
"I can say whatever I want, excuse me." Cry says, putting on a posh tone.
"Okay Miss. Elizabeth." Ken adds. Cry gives in, by poking his tongue out.
"Pathetic." I whisper under my breath. I glance up at the lights which start dimming.
"Oh my god it's starting!" I squel. I lift up the arm rest which separates Felix and I and pull my knees up onto the chair while snuggling into Pewdies chest.
"I don't care if you're uncomfortable...because I am." I state firmly. I can't really tell in the darkness, but I think I see him smile.
For the next hour and a half, I share popcorn with Felix and throw the occasional kernel at Ryan to shut him up. By the end of the movie, ken has fallen asleep and I am fighting to keep my eyes open. I bury myself in the warmth of Pewdies chest as I hear the end credits rolling.
"Uh, Clem?" I feel my body being shook and my eyes flutter open. I jolt awake. "Yeah, we're leaving now so...um." Felix starts, I roll back over. "Stuff it." He whispers under his breath. Suddenly, I feel two strong arms lift me up. I glance up to the owner and see Pewdie.
Felix carries me bridal style all the way back to the car. We get a few mocks from the rest of the group, but I was too tired to notice. I get placed carefully into the backseat of Felix's car and he sits next to me.
"Hey can someone else drive, please?" He asks.
"Me!" Cry shouts. I lie down on Pewdies lap and force myself not to snore...or drool....or talk in my sleep....or anything for that matter. I let my eyes wander for a few minutes and my gaze lands on Toby. Dark chocolatey brown hair. Deep brown eyes. Charismatic face. I've known him for years...but at the same time I haven't. I didn't know this would be what it was like meeting him. I always dreamed of the dy that I would meet Toby Joe Turner. I love him...as a friend. Just a friend right? Is he my friend. We haven't really talked much. Felix and I have. He's a great guy. Do I like him? I just moved here. I can't be thinking about relationships now.
Toby catches me staring at him and I find myself blushing. He smiles at me and I look away. Felix starts to shuffle but I protest with some noise I make. It earns a few light chuckles from the boys around us. The more I lay here, the more I realise that jeans are not a comfortable substitute for a pillow. The journey home is quite long and I drift off a few times, only to be awakened by the beeping of traffic and occasionly Kens bad singing. At one stage, Toby and Pewdie have a sing off.
"Told you I would beat you" Toby grins. Felix laughs.
"I know." He says
"Well everyone already knew Toby would win anyway." I smile up at Felix. He frowns.
"And what makes you say that?"
"Um, I hate to break it to you...but, um, you're a bad singer." I poke my tongue out. I sit up, because its obvious I won't be getting any shut eye.
---------------------
"Oh crap. I forgot to Vlog." Toby says once we reach Pewdies house. A Vlog? He forgot to do one? And IM here? I stare at Toby hopefully. He laughs when he sees me.
"Yes, Clem. You can be in the video." I smile and fist pump the air. Toby grabs his phone out of his back pocket and extends his arm. I stand behind him, hiding myself and my hat. I hear the familiar 'Ding' of the record button.
"Wha- Audience? What are you doing staring at this plasticy, fake gun we used for filming Walking dead today? Ha! So guess what? I'm here with Pewdiepie again! He's right..um, oh there he is! Say hello." Toby says charismatically.
"Uh...hello little children." Pewdiepie says creepily. I laugh to myself. Then Toby turns around.
"And who do we have here? By golly! It's a real life Clementine!" He sticks the phone in front of my face.
"Hi?" I say softly. Toby waves to me and walks out of the room. And I swear...I SWEAR I heard him whispering, "hothothothothothothothothothothot." Under his breath. I blush at the thought. Toby? Calling me hot? But still he would never mean it. I mean look at Justine and Olga. They are beautiful. And me...well, I'm a shy little stranger to him. At least I'm in a video. Actually make that two including Pewdie's.
I walk over to Pewdie, who is speaking with Marzia. She seems to be shaking her head.
"No. Marzia, this is my choice. I can do what I want with my life." Felix says sternly. His sister casts her eyes downwards in a disappointed notion.
"I guess so. Well five o'clock." She mutters. Felix turns around as she walks off. I waddle over to him.
"Whatcha doin?" I ask as a conversation starter. I wonder what he was talking about with Marzia.
"Uh, nothing...you?" He answers.
"Hey. I'm not texting you. Say something." I say. He shrugs.
"I got nothing." He looks down at me. I've always been shorter than boys. I always have to look up to talk to them.
I look at him, wondering if he's going to talk. Felix stays silent. I turn to leave.
"I gotta go...I'm doing...um...stuff." I say awkwardly. I walk fast towards the front door when someone grabs my arms. They grip me tight and I fight the urge to shake it off. I turn slowly. Felix let's go of my arm and puts his hands behind his back.
"Don't go. Please. We all want you here." He pleads. I look around the empty hallway. No one was even aware I was leaving. They probably wouldn't even notice I was gone.
"Yep." I say sarcasm dripping of my voice. I turn to face the door, forcing myself not to slow down to see if he has anything to say to me again.
Before I can even touch the doorknob, he spins me around and holds me by the shoulders. His blue eyes stare hopefully into mine.
"Stay." He says again. I shake my head. He sighs. "Are you doing anything tomorrow night?" Felix asks calmly.
"Uh" I pause. "No, I'm not...why?"
"I'm gonna come by your house at six, okay. I'm buying you dinner. Curtacy of you helping me out with the video." He smiles. I tilt my head. Is he asking me out on a date?
"Like a date?" I ask, bewildered that he would.
"Yes." He turns around to start walking down the hallway. He waves. "Bye."
I stand in shock. A date? Just as friends right? Wait, of course, I've only known him for three days.
"Bye." I say to myself. I turn stiffly to open the door. The wooden plank swings open and cool, Italian breeze floats into Pewdies house.
It's a date.
