Perfect Mistake

Chapter 14

Shhh!" Jayven shushed me

"I'm not talking!"

"Your breathing is really loud" he whispered softly

"That's you!" I retorted

We were in the middle of the hallway, walking glued to each other. We had friends over for a little get together at the house. Raph had his football friends from school over and I had skittles. Maya invited herself and we couldn't tell her to leave because it was already late in the night. I brought up the idea of hide and seek and the others agreed with me. We've been playing for a while now and it was Maya's turn to hide and Jayven and I had to go find her. Raph protested but rules were rules. To make the game more difficult, we switched off every light in the house. We had to find them in the dark.

Jayven stopped walking, causing me to bump against his back

"Ow!" I winced, rubbing my nose "why are we stopping"

"aria" his tone had turned serious

"What?"

"Don't panic" he said slowly

"Why would I panic?" I tried looking over his shoulder but he pushed me back.

"Don't look"

Fear was running free in my mind.. "What is it?"

"There's someone standing at the end of the hall" he muttered under his breath

"What do you mean?" I glanced over his shoulder and my heart sped up. There was indeed someone standing at the end of the hallway.

"Why aren't we running?" I swallowed

"I can't move. Can you?" He asked me

I shook my head "I don't think so"

Fear had paralyzed me. I always thought I would run for my life when the time came but I was more of a frozen type of person when it came to being scared.

"Hey!" Jayven waved at the figure

I slapped his back "don't talk to it!"

He took a step forward "can we help you?"

"Jayven" I warned "what are you doing?"

He let out a nervous chuckle "I have no idea"

The figure started walking towards us. That was all it took for Jayven to turn in his feet and run past me, leaving me behind. I stood there as the figure rushed towards me.

Run Aria! Do something!

That was when the adrenaline kicked in because I ran crazily down the stairs. It was a miracle I didn't fall.

Raph caught me in his arms as I finished the stairs "what happened?"

"There's someone up there and its definitely not Maya" Jayven answered for me

"What???" Skittles screamed in surprise "Aria is that true?"

I nodded, resting my head on Raphs chest

"Are you sure?" Mike a boy from football asked

"It was probably a shadow" Brian, another boy shrugged.

"If Aria said she saw someone, I believe her" Raph said

"Should we call the police?"

"Not yet. First,we should spread out and search the place." Raph suggested

"What to we do if we see something?" Skittles asked Raph

"Scream" he simply replied

"Oh well that's easy to do" she said in relief

We spread out and Raph and I went upstairs. We stopped in front of the first door.

"Are you ready?" He asked me

"No but let's go" I said

"I won't let anything happen to you" he promised, his thumb caressing my cheek.

"I know"

"Do you trust me?" He asked

"Yes, I do. Its just.. I'm scared, that's all"

"Okay. Stay here, I'll check all the rooms" I felt relief. As soon as he disappeared into the first room, strong arms wrapped around my waist and lifted me up. I screamed and everybody came upstairs laughing.

Why the hell are they laughing? I'm getting kidnapped and they're laughing?!

The lights came on and I was dropped on my feet. I turned to see my kidnapper when I came face to face with Evan. Yeah we became really close friends after our encounter at the park. I actually did see him again.

I slapped his chest, my cheeks a flaming red.

"That was one hell of a prank" Jayven said, laughing so hard he started holding his ribs.

"You guys are sick!" I said to them, smiling.

They pulled me downstairs each of them telling me how good the prank was , or apologising but I kept wondering.. Where's Raph? He should've come out first since he was closer to me. He should have heard my scream. Where is he?

Raph's POV

As soon as I entered the first room, I was pushed against the wall. I was about to yell when a pair of warm lips crashed against my lips. I froze. I didn't move at all.

She groaned in frustration, pulling back slightly. Her hand held my face as she brushed her lips against mine gently. Her breath smelled of mint. I pushed her shoulder trying to get her off me when I heard "please". The voice sounded familiar. There was so much need in her voice. I didn't know if it was the adrenaline or the pity I felt for her but when she moved to kiss me again, I kissed her back. My hands started making it's way all over her body. I started exploring her waist. My hands moved to her skirt and i lifted it. I grabbed her butt and she moaned in my mouth. Then i made my way to her breasts. They were so soft. We kissed for a while and we pulled away to catch our breaths. I don't know how long I stayed there with her, with our foreheads together. I knew what I did was wrong but I didn't feel bad about it. I didn't feel anything while kissing that stranger. I kissed her out of pity. I wanted to know who this stranger was and what she was doing in my house. I lifted my hands to the wall and flicked the switch on to see the stranger....

What the... I bet you didn't expect that. That evil conniving scheming Maya. While poor Aria is down there, thinking about him, he's up there having the fun of his life.
