School broke out for the summer and the timing couldn't have been any better. Right when Raph and I were getting all lovey dovey. Now, we'll have all the time to ourselves. I woke up that morning and saw a piece of paper on my pillow. I slept in my room that night because Raph had Jayven over and he refused to sleep in the guest room or any other room. He said the ''boogie man will get him''We had no choice but to let him have his way.
I took the paper and read it. It was a poem from Raph. When did he keep that there? I wondered. I smiled as my eyes scanned the words on the paper..
"I have the I
I have the L
I have the O
I have the V
I have the E
So please, can I keep U all my life?"That was so corny. Then I noticed it was two sheets. I took the second one and read it.
"Roses are red, bananas are yellow. Wanna go out with a nice handsome fellow? I know it's a yes so get ready by 7, I'll come by the house and pick you up. Love, Raph"
Wait.. Pick me up? He's not at home??? I'm all alone in this big house! I quickly took my phone and dialed Skittles. She picked up and I told her to get here. She said she'll be here in about two hours. She had to go run some errands. Great! Just great!
I had my bath, ate breakfast and decided to go over to the park nearby and watch some kids play. I took my skates and rode over to the park. The wind smelled so good. Fresh sweet scent of roses and flowers. It was always so nice riding on my skates. I actually missed it. I got to the park and took my skates in my hands, looking for a safe spot to keep it. I found one, then I walked over to the swings and sat on them. Everybody was so happy. Little children were running around, screaming and laughing. Some were crying because of either a scraped knee or another kid was taking too long on the see-saw and they were getting impatient. Too bad I won't get to have my own kids. I thought to myself.
I looked down at my hands and played with my ring. I never guessed I would be the bad boys girl. Hell, I never guessed I would be married at this age! The way the world works is really funny. I started turning my wrist and watched the sun reflect on the ring. The way the light bounced off it and shone was beautiful. Suddenly, a shadow towered over me. Hey! Who took away the sun? I looked up and shielded my eyes because the sun was directly at me. Who is this dude?
"Hello there, stranger" he said. His voice was deep. I frowned at him. "You can't speak?" He asked me, cocking his head to the side. Is he calling me dumb???
"Who are you?" I asked him, sassily
"Oh so you do know how to speak. I'm Evan." He said taking a seat on the swing beside me. Who invited this dude to sit beside me? Uhmm hello! I don't need company
