Moving to pour himself a drink, Cristiano didn't bother to look at the woman that had been brought to him; he'd had a long day and things were progressing well with the war, it wouldn't be long now until the entire country fell.

It had surprised Cristiano how well this was going and he knew that he would be able to return home victorious soon; he was sort of dreading what would happen when he did.

Shaking his head at the thought, Cristiano sipped on his glass of wine and wondered just what his mother had been thinking when she had agreed to that deal; he knew that he was expected to marry but it had come as a surprise when he met the woman his mother had chosen.

Camelia couldn't find her voice, she stared at the man before her knowing that this was Cristiano; he had certainly changed a little since she had last seen him.

The last five years had clearly been good to him and Camelia wanted nothing more than to walk out of the tent and never come back; he had built a life without her and it stung more than she imagined now that she could see him.

"I hope you know how to suck cock... I've had a pretty stressful day," Cristiano mused not facing her, he started to remove his armour and kept his back to her doubting that she was any real threat to him.

Camelia flinched with how he had spoken to her, she hadn't been expecting it and she guessed that she should have especially after meeting Tamara; she swallowed wondering how else he had changed.

Slowly Cristiano's armour slipped away to reveal his underclothes, he smiled to himself glad to have that awkward heavy weight off him and he would now be able to enjoy his evening.

Camelia continued to stare at him wondering if she could do this, she wondered if by coming back into his life she would be causing more harm than good.

There was no denying that she had spent years dreaming of the day that they would be reunited but now it was actually happening, she couldn't bring herself to speak.

"Cris?" Camelia breathed no able to help herself, there was no taking it back now and she couldn't take her eyes off him; she wondered if he had gotten any the letters that she had sent him in secret about their son.

There hadn't been many, her father had intercepted most of them or someone else had on the other side but Camelia was sure that a couple should have reached him without interruption.

Cristiano felt his heart stop at that voice, he had never thought that he would see her again and it almost felt too good to be true; he slowly turned to come face to face with Camelia.

"Cami?" Cristiano breathed almost afraid that this was a dream, he had imagined this moment so many times and now it was actually happening; his heart pounded in his chest as he walked across the tent and embraced her.

Camelia closed her eyes at the feeling of Cristiano's arms around her, it had been so long and she couldn't help herself; she threw her arms around him and held onto him knowing that this was actually happening.

Holding her close for a moment, Cristiano wondered how stupid her husband must have been to send her here like this; he was relieved that his men actually did as they were told.

If he was anyone else then Camelia would have found herself entertaining the men for the night, she would have never have made it to his tent.

Cristiano kissed Camelia, he had waited over five years for this moment and there was nothing going to take that away from him now; he held her close knowing that they wouldn't be disturbed for a few hours yet.

"What made you come here?" Camelia asked searching Cristiano's face, they were curled up in his bed and had only a thin sheet covering them; the candles that lit the tent didn't give off much light since they were burning down.

Her hand rested on his chest, Camelia was so relieved that their reunion had gone better than expected; she knew there was much for them to discuss but that could wait for now.

There was no hiding the fact that both of them were married to other people, though Camelia's husband was likely to be executed when the war was over; she had a feeling that after seeing the scars on her body that Cristiano would do it himself.

"I need to know," Cristiano murmured watching her, he held her close knowing that he would never forgive himself for letting it end up like this; she should have been his wife and he should have been her husband.

So much had changed for them and Cristiano was almost at a loss at where this left them now, he couldn't end his marriage and he doubted his wife was ever going to accept him loving anyone but her.

"You started this war for me," Camelia whispered as it dawned on her, she couldn't believe that this was actually happening, she had never thought he would actually start a war for her like this.

Cristiano didn't say anything, he just held onto her knowing that it didn't change anything; he might have Camelia back but there were still things that stood in the way of them being together.

"I'm oddly flattered," Camelia mumbled closing her eyes, she wished that things could have been simple for them; it was all over Cristiano's face that they had problems to talk about.

Camelia had no idea how she was going to tell him that they had a son together, she feared what was going to happen if she didn't tell him soon.

Waking in the middle of the night, Camelia blinked confused hearing the shouts of celebration; she turned over in the bed and frowned realising that Cristiano wasn't sleeping next to her.

Camelia sat up holding the sheet over her chest, didn't know what was going on but she had a feeling that there was a reason the entire camp seemed to be partying right now.

The flaps on the tent opened and Cristiano stepped inside, he was back into his clothes and Camelia watched him wondering what was going on outside; he looked pleased and she hoped that it was a good thing.

"Cris?" Camelia whispered wondering what was going on, she couldn't help but feel nervous and she hoped that the army hadn't gone anywhere but the capital.

The last thing that Camelia wanted was for them to head where Junior was, she hadn't told Cristiano about their son yet and she hoped that things weren't going to spiral before she had the chance to tell him.

Cristiano grinned moving to kiss Camelia, he pulled away the sheet wrapped around her knowing that this was certainly an occasion to celebrate.

Slowly the two settled back to how they had been earlier that night, Cristiano couldn't keep his hands off Camelia; he was so happy right now with how everything had worked out.

"The capital has been captured," Cristiano revealed to Camelia, it had been her home for five years and it was going to be the place where most of the officials that had fought against the empire would be executed for what they had done.

Camelia stared at him surprised for a moment, she had barely been with him more than a few hours and already everything had fallen apart; she kissed him knowing now it would actually be safe to tell him about their son.
