Cristiano couldn't keep the smile off his face as he woke up next to Camelia in bed and it slowly dawned on him that she was now his wife; he couldn't believe that they had actually tied the knot.

Rolling over to wrap his arms around his beautiful sleeping wife, Cristiano watched her sleep knowing after the night that they'd had that she deserved it; he kissed her bare shoulder and closed his eyes contently.

It didn't seem real that they had finally been able to do what they wanted without anyone trying to stop them; it was a relief that no one had even tried to interrupt their wedding.

Cristiano couldn't imagine what he would have done if anyone had tried to stop them, he didn't care what his family thought about this anymore.

He had done his duty by marrying Catalina and that had worked out as well as expected, Cristiano had never loved her and he never would have; his heart had always and would always lay with Camelia.

Shaking away those thoughts, Cristiano cuddled Camelia close knowing that they would never be parted again; finally, things were going right for them and he wasn't going to risk anything. It was only a matter of time before he received news that would send him away.

He was a General and Cristiano knew that he was going to have to fight battles far away from his home, he would be forced to leave Camelia and their sons behind to do so.

Junior and Mateo were growing up fast and Cristiano didn't want to miss a moment of it, he adored his two boys and he knew that the past year hadn't exactly been easy.

This was a brand new start and Cristiano was going to make sure that Camelia and the boys were taken care of, the new house was a way of ensuring their places in his life.

"Papa," Junior squealed playing in the pool with Cristiano, it was such a beautiful day and it would have been a waste to spend it inside; he was just glad that he was spending the day with his father.

Camelia sat by the edge of the pool with Mateo, she fussed over the three month old; she couldn't believe how big he was getting and she was pleased that everything was working out.

Peeking over at Cristiano, Camelia couldn't help but be thankful that Jorge and Matias had told him the truth; her own actions hadn't helped the situation and she wished she had told Cristiano the truth herself.

It would forever play on her mind how close she had come to being executed for what had happened, Camelia cursed Hugo and she hoped the man would rot in hell for what he had done.

Lillian had moved on with her life and was doing the best for her children, she was making sure that they had a better life now that their father was gone.

Hearing a sound from the house, Cristiano looked up from where he was playing with Junior; his eyes quickly locating the massenger that seemed to hurry towards them.

Jorge trailed behind the man, he had tried to stop him from coming here but he had been insistent and ignored the fact that Cristiano was meant to be enjoying his honeymoon.

"I am sorry to disturb you and your new wife, General Ronaldo," the messenger said peeking over at his new bride, she looked a lot nicer than the last woman that Cristiano had been married to.

Camelia eyed the man as she shifted a fussy Mateo in her arms, it was nearly time for his nap time and she couldn't help but wonder why the messenger had come here.

"Junior go to your mãe," Cristiano ordered softly, he nudged his eldest son towards Camelia before he moved to get out of the pool.

"I have a message from the Emperor... it's for your eyes only," the messenger revealed holding out the paper, it was secured with an unbroken seal and Cristiano only nodded his head as he moved to take it.

The messenger shifted nervously as Cristiano signalled for him to follow him, this was better sorted out in his office and he knew that he wanted to spare Camelia for a moment since he had no idea what it said.

Watching her husband walk away, Camelia sighed before pressing a kiss to the top of Mateo's head; she carefully got to her feet and offered her sons a small smile.

"Mama?" Junior whispered not liking how tense things were, he stared up at her as they slowly headed into the house; he didn't know who that man was but it was clear his arrival changed things.

Camelia chewed on her lip, her own worries filled her mind knowing that the Emperor had better things to do than write letters of little importance; they were meant to be relaxing right now not worrying about anything else.

"Who was he?" Junior asked curiously, he stuck close to his mother knowing that the man speaking with his father was important and had changed things so quickly for them; he didn't want to leave his mother or baby brother alone.

Camelia sighed gently settling Mateo into bed, she pressed a kiss to his soft curls and smiled down at him; dread filling her stomach and she couldn't help but fear what the Emperor wanted.

"He works for the Emperor," Camelia revealed gently, she looked down at her eldest son knowing that whatever that letter said would change things for them.

Junior nodded his head and wrapped his arms around his mother's legs, he could sense that she was scared about what was too come from all of this.

Frustratedly brushing his fingers through his hair, Cristiano took a deep breath knowing that he needed to tell Camelia; he had spent most of the afternoon in his office dealing with the news he had been given.

Stepping into the bedroom, he paused at the sight of Camelia and Cristiano hated that he would have to tell her; he didn't want this happening so soon after they had married.

"Cris?" Camelia asked looking up from her book, the look on his face told her everything that she needed to know and her stomach dropped dreading what he might say to her.

They had only been married the day before and they were meant to be enjoying at least a week of no interruptions; that hadn't happened and Camelia could only dread what was coming next.

"I have to leave... there's a rebellion happening in Palma," Cristiano murmured moving to sit down on the bed, he hated this but it was his duty to solve this before it got out of hand.

He was the conqueror of the empire and Cristiano had been the one to takeover Palma; he was the one that would have to put down the rebellion before it got out of hand.

Camelia could only stare at Cristiano, tears filling her eyes knowing that she wasn't prepared for this; she dreaded to think what might happen to him while he was away fighting.

The sight of Camelia's tears broke Cristiano's heart, he wished that he could stay but there was no way that he could ignore a direct order from the Emperor.

Cristiano ducked forward and kissed Camelia, he was expected to leave in the next two days and he dreaded the moment that he would have to leave his new wife behind.

Slowly sinking back into the bed, the couple slowly started to remove their clothes not knowing when they would see one another again; the rebellion had to be serious if the Emperor was sending Cristiano, who was one of his best Generals to deal with it.
