Chapter 7

I woke up the next morning to Ms. Olivia shaking Simon and I awake. She looked a little frustrated. Simon and I slowly sat up. "You two will be late for school, if you don't get moving." She said, scowling a little. We nodded and then she left. We untangled our legs and stood up and stretched. We hugged each other and then I went to my room. I quickly pulled on some black skinny jeans, a purple band tee, and some black converse. Then I put my charm bracelet on and went into the bathroom. I didn't have time to straighten my hair, so I just brushed it out and put on some clear lip gloss, mascara, and black eyeliner. Then I went back into my room, grabbed my bag, and went down stairs. Simon and I didn't have time for breakfast and just waited as the others finished up the last of their food. Then we went out the door and went to school. I noticed in my haste this morning, that my neck didn't look as bad as it did yesterday, which is good I guess.

"So you two have a nice nap last night?" Brendon asked Simon and me, grinning. We shrugged.

"What? You two not in the mood for jokes or something?" Jeremy asked, grinning too.

"Of course they're not. Not after what happened two days ago." Allie said scowling. Then she paused. "Oops. Sorry." She apologized, staring sympathetically at us.

"It's okay." We said at the same time. If she would have said that yesterday, we would've flinched. But since she said it today, we kind of got over it and so it isn't really a big deal. I mean, yeah memories of what happened flashed through my mind, but it doesn't bother me as much. At school, people started whispering and stuff at the sight of my neck. Skye, Taylor, and Casey walked up to us and we all talked until it was time for class. Jacob, Simon, Casey, and I went to first hour. I was getting annoyed by the fact that they were all whispering about me, but I ignored it as best as I could.

We all sat in our seats, which happened to be right by each other. Did the teacher messed up in his seating arrangements or what? I shrugged at the thought. We all talked until class started. During class, Jacob put a piece of folded paper on my desk. I curiously unfolded it and read it. Are you okay? You don't look very good. I don't mean it in a bad way like you're ugly or something. I mean you look like you're about to throw up or something. Come to think of it, I do feel a little queasy. I quickly wrote that I was fine, and not to worry about it. Then when the teacher wasn't looking, I put the note on his desk. He read it, looking unconvinced. He didn't write back and then at the end of class, he and I were the last ones in there.

Simon was waiting at the door, staring off into space. "You don't look fine to me." Jacob said, as I gathered my stuff and put it into my backpack.

"I don't feel fine, but I'll make it through the day." I said, truthfully. He nods.

"I think you should go home." He said, standing up straight after putting his stuff into his bag. I smiled and hugged him.

"Thanks for worrying about me, but I'll be okay. And if I pass out in class or get sick, I give you permission to say 'I told you so,' okay?" I said, letting him go. He sighed.

"Okay, but you can't get mad." He said holding out his hand.

"Okay." I said, and we shook on it. Then we went out the classroom door. "See you at lunch." He nods and then he goes off to his next class. He's only in three of my classes. Simon smiled when I hugged him and then we went to class. At lunch, we went in line and got something to eat and then we went to our table, which was now pretty much full, if we sat down, because Skye, Taylor, and Casey joined us at our table. Once we sat down, the others kept asking me if I was okay. Even Simon was concerned. I didn't feel like I was going to get sick or anything. I told them this I don't know how many times.
