After we finished mining, we traveled back to the house. I gasped when we got there.

"Oh my god..." Breathed Steve. He stared at his house. Or what was left of it.

The wood planks were burnt down , and the entire floor of the house was covered in lava.

"What happened?!" I exclaimed.

"I'm not sure..." He said nervously. "But I have my suspicions..."

"What?" I asked.

"Lord Herobrine. He's always trying to go after all the players who come here." He replied. "Do you know who Herobrine is?"

"Of course I know who Herobrine is!" I said angrily. "I'm not THAT stupid!"

"Ok! Ok! I was just wondering!" He panicked.

"But what does he want from you?" I continued.

"I'm not exactly sure," he answered. "But he's done this once before."

I thought about this for a second. Why would Herobrine attack players? He was always peaceful to the beings in the End...

"Oh well, it was time for a new house anyways..." Sighed Steve.

"I'll help build your house if you want," I volunteered.

"Whatever, it's not like it'll make a difference," he started collecting some of the wood that hasn't been burnt to a crisp. "It'll just get destroyed again."

He paused for a second. "I don't even have enough wood to make a simple house. A dirt one will have to do for tonight..." He sighed.

"Are you sure you don't want me to help?" I asked.

"Yeah," he replied. "I'm fine."

He began to collect dirt and placed it in a square. Then he built up the walls and soon he ha a small house made of dirt. He placed his bed, which had survived the fire, inside, and lay down on it.

"I guess ill just sleep outside again?" I said slowly, hoping he'd protest. I really didn't want to go through all the trouble with the mobs again. He grunted in reply. I glared at him and flew up onto the roof.

I kinda felt bad for Steve, with Herobrine destroying his house and all. He didn't seem to deserve all of this. I glanced over to a nearby tree, and an idea popped into my head. I began collecting the wood, and I was finished by morning.
