I sat on the bed in the locked tower room, worried out of my mind. My own parents are betraying me. Now they're going to kill Steve and Vent, and there's nothing I can do about it.
My mother had put a restraint on me, this one actually possible, that prevented me from teleporting, and Shadow was locked up in the stables, so I wouldn't be getting any help from him. Overall I was feeling very useless.
I frantically searched through the chests, trying to find something, anything, that could help me get out. There was nothing but clothes, jewelry and other crap. Nothing sharp even.
My sword and bow had been confiscated before I was sent to the tower room cell, and all I has left was the small dagger I kept hidden under my belt. Like that would do any good.
The door was made of solid iron, so kicking it down wasn't an option. The windows were barred. There didn't seem to be any way out.
I continued to search the room for anything useful. There was a broom in one corner, which could possibly be used as a weapon (lol), but it wouldn't help me escape.
I checked under all the furniture and carpets but I found nothing. Until I decided to look up. Yes, there it was, a trap door on the roof, cleverly hidden by the decorative rim that lined the ceiling. I grinned and flew up to it.
I opened the panel and found a chest inside. As I reached for the chest, I noticed a thin line of string on the floor. A tripwire.
Carefully stepping over the trap, I opened the chest and what I found inside turned out to be very useful. Harming potions.
I grabbed one of the glass bottles and climbed down from the ceiling. As I landed on the ground, some of the deep reddish-purple liquid splashed out of the beaker and landed on the floor, searing a tiny hole through the wood. Perfect.
I went over to the bars at the window. It would be much safer to escape from there, as there would surely by guards at the door.
I poured a tiny amount of the acid onto on of the middle bars, them did the same for the other 3. When they were loose, I managed to pull them out completely.
Grabbing the broom from the corner, I climbed out onto the window sill. I couldn't spread my wings yet, the space was too tight. I would have to risk it.
I jumped. When I was far enough away from the wall, I spread my wings and glided down to the ground.
Right then, I heard voices from around the corner. Oh great, now I would have to fight off some guards. Just great.
I braced myself, then ran around the corner.
The soft end of my broom collided with Steve's face. "Steve?!" I exclaimed.
"Misty!" Replied Vent. "We were just about to go rescue you! Though it looks like you didn't need it..."
"I was locked in the tower upstairs. But don't worry, I got out with a little help," I held up an extra bottle of Harming potion that I had took at the last minute.
"That's all good and well, but I prefer NOT to get hit in the head with a broom!" Scolded Steve.
"Sorry!" I said sarcastically. "How did you guys escape?"
"I hid Excalibur in one of the cell pipes, and then used it to reach the keys. Then a guard stopped us at the door, but he was easy to take care of." Explained Vent.
"How did you-"
I was cut off by Vent. "If it's about the sword in the pipe thing, don't ask, I have my ways." I shut up.
Suddenly there was a crash, and I noticed a crap ton of armed mobs flowing through the nether portal.
"That doesn't look good," said Steve, still a little dazed from his whacking with the broom. "What do we do?"
There was only one thing to do. Run. For Herobrine's army had arrived.
