Recap:
I walked over to my mirror and stared at my face and wondered what I was going to do, my skin was pretty clear so there was no need for foundation. I just put some eyeliner on and pulled my hair out from the messy bun it was in and fluffed it up a bit, teasing it with my hands. I was going to be wearing a hat so it didn’t matter anyway. I walked down the stairs taking one last look at myself in the full length mirror on the passage. I looked good, to say so myself

Chapter 4
I got downstairs and grabbed my black, high heeled military boots from the shoe cupboard and put them on, lacing them carefully and slowly trying to avoid mom’s gaze from the kitchen door.
"Don’t you know how to greet?" I jumped, her voice startling me after the prolonged silence.
"Sorry ma, Good morning" I said as brightly as I could and turned to face her, getting up from the bottom of the stairs and walking over to where she stood.
She stared at me, a mixture of emotions crossing her face as if she was trying to decide what to feel.
"Oh come here you!" she said pulling me into a big hug. I smiled to myself and crouched down seeing as I was towering over her in my boots. "I’m sorry about yesterday sweetheart, its just…" she trailed off. I acted quickly not wanting the conversation to take a sour turn.
"Its Okay mum, I’m sorry too" I beamed at her and crossed over into the kitchen, opening the cupboards and reaching up for the cornflakes.
"I already made breakfast" she said. I smiled to myself again knowing she already had. I could smell the bacon from my bedroom, I didn’t want to ask her cuz then she’d start on me again; asking me if I thought she was my slave. I shot her a questioning look ‘Breakfast bar’ she said as if reading my thoughts.
I walked round the corner into the other side of the kitchen; It was very big and open plan seeing as it held two ovens, a fridge freezer and a deep freezer. My mom was big on cooking. I crossed over the open space and walked to the breakfast bar a lonely island in the middle of the kitchen , It was just a big Marble table with four wooden chairs around it. I smied as I saw the food on the table. My mum never could hold a grudge.
"Well are you going to eat or continue smiling to yourself like a mad woman" I looked up to see my mom staring down at me, a smile playing on the edge of her lips. She pulled a chair out from under the table and we both sat down to eat breakfast.
