"You ready?" I asked Tessa as we reached the stairs of the attic.
" yup" she answered.
You can see that she's not so into the idea of a surprise but you could also see a spec of excitement in her eyes, if you look deep enough.
I really, really hope she likes this.
We blindfolded her, lead her up the stairs and into the room.
" ok 1,2,3... Take off the blindfold" I said barely keeping in my excitement.
"Surprise!" Everyone yelled out as she took off her blindfold. Arifa ( ari- fah) and carter were already up here waiting for us to come upstairs.
" you like?" I asked while nervously chewing my lip.
At that moment I could easily say that i couldn't be more proud of myself. The smile that stretched across her face, was a smile that I haven't seen in years, and I was glad that I could bring it back.
" this is amazing" Tessa said.
I squealed and jumped on her while hugging her, which lead to everyone else doing the same and we were all a laughing mess on the floor.
" okay, everyone. Up, up let's leave Tessa to enjoy her room." My aunt said.
We all left and went into the kitchen.
"How are you holding up?" My aunt Niki asked softly.
"I'm fine I just can't seem to wrap my head around the fact that my mom literally burned herself to death, you know, and that Tessa say it all. I just can't get there yet, and the funeral made it seem even so more real." I said with a big sigh.
My aunt reached across the island and held my hand in hers.
" I found the letters she left, I didn't give Tessa hers because it might ruin her once and for all, you saw how she was when she came. It's like she has no emotions, today was the most I ever saw her let out an emotion besides when mom died and her funeral. She'll rather wear her emotions, like her clothes and the sleeve tattoo on her left arm, I'm just glad she hasn't gone emo, I don't know what to do anymore, I feel like a terrible sister." I said while staring at my aunt with one lone tear slipping down my face.
"Everything will be fine, it'll work out you just have to wait and see." My aunt said wisely.

Hi everyone.
