Chapter 4: The Initiation

So far in our tale, we encountered and fought an Iron Elementalist named Ludwig. Facing off against Fire Elementalist, Hinoko Yamazaki, Ludwig stood very little chance of winning. Now with one victory under his belt, Hinoko brings Evelyn Mirack to his workplace...

Chapter 4:

The Initiation

       "Whelp...I didn't see this coming..." Hinoko stated as he stood up straight and placed his arms down to his sides. "Ya' know, if you do this to every member, one of 'em is gonna end up trying to kill you."

       "If that were to happen, I'd devour that individual in battle. We know this Hinoko now don't we?" the figure spoke, walking towards the light. "Yeah...I guess you've got a point there hehe..." he responded scratching the back of his head with his left hand. His eyes looked up towards the night sky nervously while Evelyn stared at him, still frozen and unable to move from the startle. She then swallowed hard and slowly turned her head, glancing back at the figure Hinoko was speaking with.

       The figure came towards the light. It was a woman who seemed to be around her early twenties. She stood with her left hand placed onto her hip, her right hand down to its side with a black sword held tightly in it. Her hair was a natural black and stopped at her neck. She wore the front of her hair in a bang which would cover her right eye. Her eyes being a cold gray that she used to intimidate with.

       On her body was a royal blue, short-sleeve top. On her arms, were two black wristbands with the town's emblem sewn into them. On her waist, were standard red jean shorts that were rolled up to her mid thigh. And lastly, on her feet were black sandals, her toenails painted a royal blue to match her top. The woman stared at Evelyn, giving her a cold glare before she then turned her attention towards Hinoko. She began giving him a questionable look, almost as if she was angry with the male. She then pointed the sword at the male as she walked past Evelyn. Hinoko quickly flinched and raised both his arms into the air sweating.

       "Did you take care of the thief that was running amuck around our town, as well as the rest of Terrabisk?" The woman asked, holding the tip of the sword to the male's throat, gently pressing against it.

       "Y-Yeah of course I did boss! I took him out with little effort at all!!" he exclaimed with a nervous laughter.

       Evelyn watched the two then suddenly gained the courage to speak. She shook her head then folded her hands and placed them towards the center of her chest. "He totally annihilated that guy! I...I've never seen anyone take care of a fight like that. And with so much ease too." The woman looked back at young Evelyn, shooting her cold glare once more. Evelyn widened her eyes and yelped softly as she tried to look the intimidating woman into her eyes. The woman then turned back towards Hinoko and lowered her sword back down to her side and sighed.

       "Who is this girl Hinoko? One of the townsfolk you saved I assume?" she asked in a calm and relaxed tone.

       "Nah. That's Evelyn Mirack. She followed me to Ludwig's location because she wasn't really sure of what was happening. Honestly, I wouldn't have been able to lure Ludwig out of the bank if she wasn't there to help." the male replied giving a modest smile.
