Chapter 7:

The Assault On Ethereon

"Oh hey! We're finally here haha!" Ren exclaimed, placing the case report back into its folder.

"Man Hinoko, I don't see how you walk all the way here from the base like this. You've gotta be some sort of cyborg." Mira stated, her hands deep into her pockets. Evelyn laughed lightly as she looked around the town, already getting to work on their task.

"What are ya' looking for boss?" Hinoko asked.

"Well, we are here to locate and bring the Brother Bears to justice right?" Evelyn replied with a smile.

"If that's the case then I have a small suggestion. How about we split up for this job guys. I mean, a group of five would seem a bit obvious wouldn't it?" the male thought. The four members then nodded their heads in agreement and began to partner up.

"How 'bout this? Since Evelyn and Hinoko beat Ludwig on their own, let them team up. The rest of us will make up the second team." Ren suggested.

"I don't know...I know she's leader and all, but I can't stress it enough that we know nothing about her. I think I'll team up with her and Hinoko if that isn't too much of an issue." Toshitsugu stubbornly volunteered.

Evelyn looked over at Toshitsugu and frowned slightly. She let out a sigh and nodded her head. "I guess that's fine. As long as the rest of the team is okay with it." Mira and Ren both gave thumbs up in agreement while Hinoko folded his arms. He gave a facial expression that showed his disapproval of the idea, as well as Toshitsugu's attitude.

"I don't like it, but it's the majority vote, right?"

Toshitsugu smirked and looked towards Hinoko. He then walked towards the male's right side and placed his left hand on the male's shoulder. "Ah lighten up pyro! Hell, I might be saving your ass you know? She could be attempting to kill you, but now she has two strong guys to face off against. It's a win-win situation buddy."

"Let's get moving guys. Standing here talking will get us nowhere with the case." Ren exclaimed.

"Right. We'll meet in the center of town twenty minutes from now. If we get into trouble, we'll send a signal." Evelyn added.

"What's the signal going to be?" Mira asked, removing her hands from her pockets and folding her arms.

"We'll just yell out 'Fallen Lotus'. Sound cool?" Hinoko asked, his hands resting behind his head. The group nodded in unison then went on their separate paths.

Taking the eastern route were Hinoko, Evelyn and Toshitsugu. On the western, Ren and Mira. Both teams searched through their designated areas thoroughly, looking for any sign of the duo. But with the city as busy as usual, their search became rather difficult.
