A Surprising Discovery

Mira stared over in the direction that Ren flew into. Her mind was racing with thoughts as to if the young boy was okay or not. She finally got herself together and ran in Ren's direction to aid the male.

"AND WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" a voice yelled out. Suddenly, she was stopped in her tracks by a large, meteor-sized boulder. The boulder crashed into the ground just three feet in front of her. She stood there, a puzzled and enraged look on her face. She then began to look around rather hesitantly, awaiting for another attack to come her way. "AWH, WHAT'S THE MATTER!? AFRAID OF A LITTLE RUBBLE?! HAHAHAHA!!"

"Damnit...this isn't good. Why don't you just come out and show yourself you coward?!" Mira challenged, her fists clenched in anger. She then shut her eyes, a white aura beginning to surround her entire body. "Angel's Offense!! Heaven's body!!" The white aura around her began flashing. A white flash of light then occurred, blinding anyone who was in sight of the scene. The light soon faded, revealing a rather "different" Mira Kusack.

Her hair was now a golden blonde, which flowed down to the middle of her back. Her eyes were now an emerald green. And her clothing consisted of a long, white gown that stopped at her ankles. She had no shoes on her feet, only because she was hovering five feet from the ground. She was now an angel without it's wings, a rather serious angel at that.

Meanwhile, on the Eastern side of town, Hinoko, Evelyn and Toshitsugu began fighting off a barrage of flying boulders. Evelyn placed her arms in front of her in an "X" postion, shielding her face from the attacks. Hinoko and Toshitsugu swung their fists rock after rock, trying to slow down the barrage. Their strategy succeeded as the barrage ceased. Panting slighty, Hinoko looked back at Evelyn, making sure she was ok.

"Yo. How you holding up back there?"

"My arms sting a little, but I'm okay overall." the young woman responded, slowly lowering her guard.

"Man, whoever is attacking us, they sure have us in a corner." Toshitsugu stated, placing his hands into his pockets. "I have a hunch that this is one of the Brother Bears we're dealing with."

"My, my, my. How smart you are boy." went a heavy voice. The three adolescents quickly looked up, spotting a rather "large" male standing on the rooftop of a vacant building. The male was a heavy-set fellow with black hair and brown eyes. He wore a plaid, button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled up and faded blue jeans with brown boots. He looked down at the three then gave a slight smirk before slamming his right foot into the roof of the house. This caused the ground to begin to rumble violently.

Holding their balance, Evelyn, Hinoko and Toshitsugu continued to look up at the male. Clenching his fists, Hinoko crouched towards the ground then leaped up towards the large male. He winded back his right fist and placed his left forearm in front of him as a guard.

"Sacred Fire! Burning Fist!" He cloaked his right fist in blue flames. As he got within five feet of his target, he swung his fist, aiming for the male's chest. The punch connected, however leaving the large male to simply laugh. He then grabbed Hinoko's right arm and flung him towards the ground, causing Hinoko to crash into the pavement.

"Hinoko!!" Evelyn yelled out, running to the male's aid.

"Worry about yourself missy! Nature Strike! Razor Barrage!!" The large male then sent a barrage of leaves flying at high speeds towards Evelyn, slicing through her clothing and her skin. The young woman screamed as she fell towards the ground, the barrage still attacking her. After seeing enough of his teammates being hurt, Toshisugu slammed his fists together and slammed both his palms to the ground. He looked up at the attacker as a surge of electricity began to flow through his body.
