The day was going to be pretty amazing compared to any other pre-award show party. Arriving at the Beverly Hills Hilton around twelve Emily signed poster for fans behind barricades before going inside. Walking along the red carpet into the ballroom Emily posed with friends and answered questions about her simple eggplant color dress with a black waist belt. Greeting the Academy’s president Emily stopped to take a few pictures and thank him for everything. Going into the adjoining room Emily took her turn with the press so she could easily enjoy the rest of the luncheon.

“I feel incredible,” Emily smiled. “I remember almost ten years ago coming with my mom and thinking I’m going to get an Oscar on my shelf.”

“You’re having the best career year what’s next?”

“Well sir its all down hill from here,” Emily said getting a few laughs.

“What advice do you have for the rest of young Hollywood?”

“Respect the greats that came before you and don’t call them legends it makes them feel old. Thank you have a great day.”

Quickly Emily waved goodbye and let one of the Best Actress nominees take her turn. Going back into the ballroom Emily mingled with the people that had arrived so far. Eventually everyone arrived and took their seats at the very mixed tables. Every table was organized with an academy governor sort of hosting the table with nominees from different categories and films seated together. It was great to see people Emily had worked with on previous films and the films she was nominated for all around her.

At some point between the salads and the main course everyone was called to the front of the room for the annual nominee photo. Afterwards each nominee was called on stage to receive a nomination certificate and a special hoodie with ‘nominee’ and an Oscar printed on it. Once the fabulous meal was done there was a lecture on acceptance speech etiquette and a video tutorial by the current governor to emphasize the speech. When the lunch was over Emily couldn’t believe what she had spent her day doing.

“So how’d it go?” Jessie asked excitedly.

“Amazing! I can’t believe I was in that room,” Emily said happily.

     “Tell me everything!”

     “Where do I start?”

Happy like a teenage schoolgirl Emily ran through the luncheon in memory blobs out of order. There was so much that happened Emily couldn’t wait for the pictures to come out so she could show them to everyone. She was going to remember the day for forever.

The next day Emily was spent the whole day inside at the Grammy rehearsals. Some of the most incredible artists in the business were together practicing for one of the biggest nights in music. All the incredible talent was mesmerizing to Emily, her band had to keep her focused the entire day. If she had been left alone she would have become a crazed fan.

Exhausted she went into the office the next morning and ended up falling asleep in one of the studios. Brooke managed to find her and send her home. Emily had been going non-stop every day barely getting any sleep. She had to be up early again the next morning for a photo shoot.

Emily drove out to the beach for a long shoot for a fitness magazine. The water was freezing cold but Emily braved the cold to get some amazing shots. Occasionally Emily would start to shiver and they would have to break long enough for Emily to warm up only to get back in the ocean. When the photographer called a wrap on the photo shoot at sunset Emily didn’t hesitate to get into warms jeans and a nice hoodie. Thanking the whole crew Emily hurried home for a nice home cooked meal.
