Chapter 4

Lysander's POV

Arie and I parked our cars in my driveway. We had stayed at Paradise for an extra hour talking about nothing and everything. We had also made up some dance combos for fun. Needless to say, we were exhausted. We dragged our feet up to my front door.

I hadn't even stepped through when my little sister, Sophia, tackled me.

"Xan!" She squealed. "You're back!"

She looked up at me with love, and my heart swelled. Only this girl had that effect on me. I chuckled. God, I love this kid.

"Hey, kiddo." I hugged her back hard.

"So, what am I, invisible?" I heard Arie pout behind me. I rolled my eyes. Sophia released me and tackled Arie. "Missed you too." I heard him smile and I couldn't help but smile as well.

Sophia had known Arie since she was born so she saw him as her second brother and he saw her as his little sister. It probably didn't help that he hadtwo younger brother's who drives him INSANE.

I saw a flash of blonde as Sophia raced into the kitchen, screaming, "MOM, XAN'S HOME!!" Gosh, that kid had some major lungs. I shook my head, chuckling.

A lot of people think of Sophia as my mini-me. We shared the same hair and eye color. She was younger than me by ten years, and was born shortly after the accident so she never met my dad, unfortunately. I was pretty much the only father figure she knew.

Arie and I made our way into the kitchen where my mother was making dinner. "Hey, Mom," I greeted.

"Hey, sweetie.' She leaned over and kissed my forehead. Unlike a lot of boys I knew, I enjoyed her kisses. I loved my mom more than anything in the world.

"Hello, Casey." Arie flashed her a killer smile. God, he was such a suck up when it came to my mom.

Mom smiled back. "Hey, kid." She leaned over and messed up his hair before turning back to her cooking. "You boys have any plans for the evening?"

"Yeah, hope you don't mind, Casey, but the other boys are coming over later to hang," Arie said, smooth talking my mom. It might sound sick, but if I were the one who said this the answer would have been a flat out no. In Arie's case however, mom couldn't say no to him. She saw him as her second son and would do anything for him.

Mom nodded. "That's fine. I'm going out tonight. Last minute meeting at work. But I gotta warn you boys," she set down the spatula and whirled around, glaring at us. We wisely leaned back. "Sophia's tutor is coming in tonight so I need you not to be so rowdy and don't scare her away. No flirting of any kind. She's a great girl and I can't find anyone else like her." We both nodded and looked at each other, grinning slyly. We had flirted with all the other tutors Sophia had, and let's just say they never concentrated on tutoring.

This was going to be fun.

Unfortunately, Mom noticed it and went for the kill. "Sophia loves her too." My grin faltered. Crap. I looked over at my little sister who was giving me puppy dog eyes and nodding.

I sighed. "Fine. Anything for my little girl." She squealed and mom looked relieved. "I'm not making any promises though, and I can't say for the other boys either."

Mom shrugged and turned back to her cooking. "I'm pretty sure she could handle you guys anyway. I wasn't going to hire her at first, but she and Sophia got along so well. Besides, she's really polite and sweet."
