Chapter 15

Corlene's POV

Everyone look up as I smirked. I know that voice.

I twisted around to see Andrew Mill, Colin Davis, and Tyra Jackson standing behind me, all wearing a goofy grin. I practically flew out of my chair and tackled them with a hug. They immediately surrounded me into a big bear hug.

“What the hell are you bitches doing here?” I exclaimed.

“Honey, it’s a public mall. We could visit whenever we want.” Tyra said, snapping her fingers in a Z formation.

“Girl, don’t give me attitude or I’ll bust your ass,” I retorted, smirking. She threw her arms around me.

“Oh how I’ve missed you,” she said. I chuckled and hugged her back.

“Missed you too, little one,” I said, patting her on the head. She batted my hand away and smoothed out her purple streaked hair.

“Such a drama queen,” Andrew murmured.

She whirled around and slugged him in the arm. He winced in pain and rubbed his arm, pouting. Colin and I rolled our eyes at them. Everyone who has ever met them would think they’re a couple, especially since they bicker like a married couple. But they change their mind after I tell them Tyra’s a lesbian. Their expressions are priceless.

“Ahem,” we were interrupted by someone clearing their throat. We all twisted our head toward the sound. Everyone at my table was looking at us curiously and expectantly.

“Right,” I muttered, “real quick intros.” I went around the circle, “That’s Arie, the twins, Quinn and Tyler, Logan, Shane, Lysander, and my girl, Annarina.” I looked at the ones sitting down and waved at the new comers, “Guys, these are my bitches, Andrew, Colin, and Tyra. They go to my previous school.”

There were hello’s all around. “Nice to meet you all,” Tyra smiled, then pointed at Annarina, “and you’re hot.”

Poor Rina turned bright red as Andrew, Colin, and I roared with laughter. I smacked Tyra on the arm, “And you aren’t single!”

“What?” She said, innocently, rubbing her arm and pouting, “Can’t I say a girl’s hot without it having to be a come one?”

“Honey, you’re a lesbian. Any compliment you say to a girl is a come on.”

“I compliment you all the time,” she pointed out.

“Yeah, but I already know you got it bad for me.” I winked at her.

She smirked and winked back, “You know it, lover.”

We both snickered as Andrew and Colin rolled their eyes while everyone else looked confused.

“And moving on…” Andrew said, shaking his head.

“You guys want to join us?” Lysander asked.

My bitches glanced at me, silently asking permission. I gave a subtle nod.

“Sure,” Colin replied, smiling. I plopped back on my chair and he pulled one next to me, close enough that I noticed Lysander’s eyes narrow slightly. Whatever. Tyra sat between the twins, who couldn’t keep their eyes off of her, and Andrew sat between Colin and Logan. I offered the boys some of my food and we munched on it. They told me stories about school after I had left, the twins struck up a conversation with Tyra and it was obvious they were flirting with her despite the fact they now know she’s lesbian. Poor desperate boys.

Throughout this whole time, I could feel Lysander’s burning stare as he watched me interact with Colin and Andrew.

My phone rang with a text message. I opened it. It was from Colin.

Colin: Why does that dude keep staring at you?

Me: Who? Lysander?

Colin: Yeah, that dude. You guys a couple now and you didn’t bother to tell us?;)

Me: Oh gosh, NO! Don’t even start, man. And I don’t know. Why don’t you ask him?

Colin: Don’t sass me, girl.

Me: Honey, you live for my sass;)

From the corner of my eye, I saw him shake his head and put his phone away. “Just don’t even,” I heard him mutter.

I snickered and also put my phone away.

After I did, his face turned dead serious. He leaned in close and said softly, “He’s still asking about you.”

My grin faltered and fell all together.

Shit, I was hoping to avoid this…

I closed my eyes and sighed, “That doesn’t really surprise me.”

Colin looked uncomfortable as he said, “There’s rumors he’s actually searching for you. Apparently, he’s got some of his buddies out on the streets too.”

I groaned and buried my head into my hands. “Can’t the dude take a hint?”

He rubbed my back, “You know how he is. No girl has ever had the guts to dump his sorry ass before. I guess you intrigue him in some sort of sick twisted way.”

“Great, another problem I have to deal with. Does this never end?” The table got quiet. I realized I said that louder than I intended. Tyra glared at Colin.

“You told her.” It wasn’t a question.

Colin didn’t look guilty, “She needed and has the right to know.”

“She’s already got enough shit on her plate, you didn’t have to pile anymore crap on there! Especially about Jordan.” She spat out his name. “That’s the last thing she’d want to think about!” She growled at him. Colin narrowed his eyes at her and opened his mouth to snap back at her. I cut him off immediately before World War III could start. That’s the last thing I need right now.

“Tyra,” I cut in looking at her, “it’s alright. I needed to know. I can handle Jordan. It’s okay.”

She shook her head and said softly, “You always say that… Remember what happened last time?”

I sighed and closed my eyes, trying to push out the image of his fist being raised. I opened my eyes and looked around, remembering that the Big Dipper and Annarina were still at the table with us. They all had a bewildered expression on their faces.

“Who the fuck is Jordan?” Lysander growling, his tone demanding an answer.

Damn it.

It's a crappy chapter, I know. But I needed to push through this so I can create a new, less awful one. :P
