Chapter 10
Corlene's POV
Friday.
In other words, time to dance my heart out at Marino's. After I got off of school I immediately made my way over to the Sanctuary. Though the show didn't start till seven, I needed to quickly go over the choreo again. Doing my hair and makeup would also take a good amount of time. I started on it after doing the choreo a couple times. I finished showering and threw on a blood red tank top, black jeans, and boots. I sat down on the chair and pulled out all the necessary things to transform me into Coral Rivell.
I first started with the illuminator to hide any familial traits. I applied some loose powder to make my face look a bit paler. After I covered my entire face with it, I used some black eyeshadow to create the almond shape that pointed out at the end. I took my fire engine red lipstick and a thin brush, and ran straight lines of it through the black eyeshadow. I then spreading the color across my fingers and palm and ran my hand down from the side of my face to my neck. I did the same thing on the other side with black lipstick before applying the color to my top lip; the red completing my mouth after I applied some on my bottom lip. I checked myself in the mirror. Not bad.
I then French braided my hair on the left side of my head. I let the other side hang loose. After I was done, I rummaged through the closet searching for an appropriate outfit to wear. I finally decided on a black choli with the breast cups a sparkly red. The skirt was also black. It covered my feet and it had strips of red fabric dangling from it. To top it off I decided to add a red hip scarf. I packed up my costume in my messenger bag and rode home. Clint wanted to drive me to the show. He had also decided to watch me, which made my excitement skyrocket. He hadn't watched me dance in a long time; he never had the time.
I walked up the steps and unlocked the front door. Clint was sitting on the bar stool in the kitchen. He looked up when he saw me but didn’t say anything at first, just tilted his head.
"Wow," Clint said, finally. "I would never have guessed that was you."
I smiled. "Good! Then it's working."
"Remind me again why you put on so much freaking make-up."
"To hide my real identity," I answered.
"You sound like an assassin."
"Maybe I am one and you just don't know it."
He snorted. "I highly doubt that."
I snickered and glance at my watch. "Time to roll, chauffeur."
He glared at me but grabbed the keys. I chuckled as I grabbed my bag off the floor. We drove in comfortable silence all the way to the club. There was already a long line in the front. Clint idled on the curb and looked out my side of the window. He whistled.
"Damn, that's intense. It'll take me forever to get in there." I pulled him to me. He looked at me, shocked and curious. "What are you doing?"
"Giving you your VIP pass." I pressed my lips on his cheek, leaving the obvious red and black lipstick stain. "Now all you gotta do is walk up to the front and they'll wave you through."
He didn't look convinced. "How is a red and black lipstick stain on my cheek gonna grant me pass to all that?" He gestured to the long line. I patted him on the shoulder.
