I gasped for air. Only realizing I was no longer in a pond but at the side of one, standing up I looked at the large sharpened spear like stick I had. I was wearing a slightly thin leather type cloak, no boots were on my feet and the cloak seemed to be the only thing I had on besides a black mid thigh dress below it. My skin was a ashy color, looking at the ice I saw my reflection shine back at me. Ashy skin, dark brown eyes with black surrounding it and dark brown hair.

I headed for the town I knew the way to, but not sure how I did know the way to it. Making my way through the streets I saw kids running around and adults also.

"Can you tell me where I am-" I was walked right through making me gasp as a sharp cold shock was sent through me.

"That's how I feel," A voice said.

I spun around to see a boy about my age with white hair and icy blue eyes, he seemed familiar but I couldn't recognize him.

"Who the heck are you?" I asked, spear ready.

"Jack Frost," He said.

I looked at him confused, I didn't know no anybody with the name 'Frost' even though it seemed like I recognized the name very much but couldn't place a finger on it.

"You're able to see me, why?" I hissed.

"Because Im a spirit, like a ghost, so are you," He said smiling.

"That explains a bit, but not enough," I huffed, heading past him.

"Where are you going?" He asked, his own staff behind him.

"Anywhere but here," I answered, hitting my staff on the ground and flying off.

I had flown away to a forest for awhile, I got tired and dropped to the ground, turning into a rabbit so I could hide in a bush to sleep. The only thing I knew was that tomorrow was the time kids would find eggs, so I planned to wake up early and find the reason there are eggs that we don't put down, since I didn't think there was a Easter bunny. I would find out soon enough though, because I wouldn't stop until I knew the truth.

I woke up early in the morning to a rustling and the sound of something big, I got up and looked through the leaves to see a rabbit almost as tall as a very tall person. I poked my head down to get a better view and the rabbit looked at me, my eyes went wide and I hid again taking my stick out and changing into a bird. I grabbed my stick that had turned into a twig so I could carry it, and flew out startling the big rabbit.

"What the," Was all I heard.

I landed on a branch with my stick, the rabbit looked at me and I looked at the rabbit. He shook his head and put a egg in the bush I had been in. I flew past him to a tree where he wouldn't see me and hit my staff on the tree, I changed back to human form immediately. I started walking back to where he was quietly, watching the rabbit put a egg every once and awhile in a place.

I heard kids coming near as he kept hiding eggs, "Might wanna hurry," I muttered just enough for him to hear.

He turned and stared at me, "Good luck!" I laughed and turned back into a rabbit, startling the rabbit more and I started running towards the sounds of kids.

I jumped in front of one kid who laughed and started chasing me, I started towards the big bunny with kids following me. When I got to the area he had been at he wasn't there and no sign he was except for Easter eggs, one looked like it was frozen because it seemed like Jack had been here. I laughed and started running to a bush I hopped into it but instead of firm dirt under my feet I fell into a big hole.

I hit my head and looked up up rubbing my head with a paw, I saw it looked like a tunnel and the entrance that I fell into was gone so I turned into a bird and flew with my stick through the tunnel into an area with big stone eggs. I stopped flying quickly and stopped fast, flapping my wings backwards, the stone eggs looked at me and turned to a mad like face. That made me squeak in surprise and I flew a different way down a path.

I flew up to a little ledge that nothing but birds could get to and put my stick on the ledge, I looked down to see the rabbit again. He seemed to be just hopping around but I couldn't be sure so I flew down in front of him, he hopped back once after seeing me I hovered in front of him chirping with laughter.

I flew back to the ledge bored because he was no fun, I saw more tunnels that seemed big enough for a horse to go in so I flew towards one. Flying in the dark tunnel seemed to go on forever before I hit a wall that seemed to split into other places, I looked at the different ones and saw one that looked like my state so I flew back to get my stick. When I got it I turned and didn't see the tunnels anymore, I wasn't bothered by it so I just sat down and watched everything that happened for years, every year when eggs were going to get painted I would swoop and grab one, paint it quickly and put it back down.

After a few years it got boring so one year I followed the eggs to my tunnel, I stayed on the ground walking with my stick in my beak. It went dark and when I could see again I saw I was on a branch of a short tree. I stayed there bored with my stick and curled up, looking like a red egg painted to look feathery.
