-Few months after found by Jamie but before Man in Moon meeting-

I woke up on the window pane of Jamie's house, his mother wouldn't let me sleep in the little nest anymore unless it was cold or I wanted in, I hadn't wanted in so I slept outside. I saw Jamie starting to wake up, I started making noise and banging the window with my wings, Jamie came over sleepily and let me in.

I swooped in and started chittering in his ear to wake him up, he got dressed while I was downstairs getting his cereal, he thought he could teach me to get his breakfast ready for him only to learn I knew how. I poured his cereal in a bowl and got the milk out, it was heavy and I couldn't open the lid so he did that part, I started grabbing his scarf that was caught on a hook while he got his coat on.

I landed on his shoulder as he said bye and he was going to play, so he grabbed his sled and sat on it.

"Onward, red bird!" Still no name for him to call me.

I grabbed the front of his sled and started flapping, first going slow and then making it go quickly going faster down the sidewalk. The people in the neighborhood knew me and Jamie so they just moved out of the way, instead of thinking they were hallucinating like the first few times. We stopped at the park and I let go and flew to his shoulder, we skidded to a halt where Jamie's friends were.

They started trying to get him to play but he kept brushing them off, he turned around to leave when a random snowball hit his head. I looked for the culprit and I saw the one and only, Jack Frost. I knew he didn't recognize me since I was a bird so I flew behind him and made a snowball myself, picking it up I went above him, dropping it right on his head. He looked up and was confused because all he saw was a bird, with a stick that looked like his friend's.

He reached for it but I pecked his hand and flew to Jamie, then Jamie's friend hit Cupcake on the head. She turned angrily around.

"I hit Cupcake!" She gasped.

"She hit Cupcake!" A different boy said.

Then I saw Jack make another snowball and throw it at Cupcake, it hit her right on the face. I was tired of this and flew at him angrily, making sure my form was hidden like I was a spirit again. I turned human with sketchy angel wings again and glared at Jack, he stared at me.

"Why must you always have to play games!?" I said, making sure Jamie wasn't looking for me.

"Because its fun," He said smiling.

I hissed and turned back into a bird and flew over to Jamie, keeping an eye on Jack. They had started running and Jamie landed on his sled and started sliding, Jack was flying bedside him with me on Jamie's shoulder. I squawked angrily at Jack who was laughing, I hung on for dear life as we dodged cars and people.

Then we were flying, I still held onto Jamie's shoulder as we landed in the snow, he got up.

"Are you okay?!" One of his friends asked.

"That was awesome!" Then he got hit by a couch.

I heard 'ouch' from everyone of his friends, he raised his hand with a tooth in it.

"Woah! Look a tooth!" He said getting up.

They all congratulated him and I flew off to the park, knowing Jack Frost would be there too because he saw me go there. When I got there I changed back to normal and turned on him.

"What the heck was that sled ride about!?" I shouted at him.k

"I made him have fun," He smirked.

"We could've died! If he had been hit it would have been my fault for not protecting him!" I growled.

"He didn't though, did he?" He questioned.

"No, but he still could've died!" I hissed.

"He still didn't, and he didn't know I was even there," He said, a bit unhappy.

"That's not the point, you aren't his protector, I am, I have been his protector for a year now!" I chirped, stupid animal noises.

"Kids can have more than one protector, you should know that," He retorted.

"I know that! But they don't stay there at a kids side all the time, I do! And the only way I'm seen is because of paint!" I shouted, curling and uncurling my fist.

I saw the sun was going down, I saw some lights in the distance that seem to be fading. I ignored them and growled at Jack, he smirked because he knew I was getting irritated.

"See you later?" He asked, normally now.

It took me by surprise, "What?" I asked.

"See. You. Later?" He said, sounding out each one like I was deaf.

"I heard you the first time! But it doesn't mean I want to! Besides, it hasn't been that long since I've talked to somebody!" I argued, crossing my arms

"Three hundred years isn't long to you?" He questioned, smirking as he leaned on his staff.

"That's how long its been?" I said stunned.

"Yep, you disappeared for quite awhile and slept for awhile also, but got to go!" He said flying off.

I growled, ramming my staff I turned into a dog and ran towards Jamie's house, I jumped turning into a bird and flew into his bedroom. His mother was there talking about the tooth fairy with Sophie, I landed in my little nest and laid down. His mother left and I drifted down to him, I tapped him on the head with my wing to get him to sit up.

He sat up and asked, "What is it?" He said, actually expecting me to answer it seemed.

"Can you keep a secret?" I said, he looked pale.

"Y-You can talk?" He asked.

I nodded, "Do you believe in me? Like if I was some one like the Easter Bunny?" I asked him.

He looked at me like I was crazy, "You aren't the Easter bunny," He said.

"I know, but if I was, would you believe I was real?" I asked again.

He nodded, that was all I needed, I hugged him as I swung my spear, I turned back to normal. I backed away and he just stared at me, I smiled and he did to.

"Your are younger than your voice, or what I thought of you to be," He said.

"I know, I act more mature than those my age, but now I have to go," I said getting on the window.

"How long?!" He questioned.

"I don't know, I'll try to be back A.S.A.P.," I said smiling, then I jumped and started running.

It took me awhile to try and find Jack, not having the best night vision in the world at night made it quite hard looking for him as a bird. Though it didn't bother me since I didn't need anymore sleep after hundred of years of it, I wasn't planning on talking to him anytime soon so I just followed in the sky. What I didn't expect was Jack so go defense mode at nothing, but then I saw the Easter Bunny step out.

I flew down and landed on a light post, making my feathers a dark grey almost black to hide me against the sky as they couldn't see me. Two yetis came up behind Jack and put him into a sack, I grinned and they left through a portal. I followed quickly behind, darting past them all to a ledge before I could be seen by too many except for yetis who couldn't say anything about it.

This was going to take awhile....
