We got to the club at 10:47. I had on some grey jeans, a black t-shirt with Biggie face on it, all black New Balances, and a Nets snap back. I liked fashion on no gay biz though, but I ain't wear my real expensive stuff cuz I ain't like these dumb niggas. I could hold my own, but the more expensive, the more gold diggers you attract. Like flies on shit all night, annoying as hell.
"Baby!" I heard Karina yell. Me and Ju turned around seeing Karina with her little baby bump showing through her loose blouse. She had on some tight jeans and flats and still looked bad. Ju hugged her and then she hugged me. "How you doing Trell?"
"I'm good Rina, how you?"
"I'm alright, I want you to meet my friend.."
"Where she at?" I say. She grabbed my hand pulling me to the bar.
She tapped a girl who had long hair and was thick in all the right places. Then she turned around and Ju was right. She wasn't pretty. She was bad! She had on hammer pants, a tight v-neck, vest and pumps. She had chinky grey eyes, full lips, long eye lashes, and a nice smile. I was caught in a daze and I missed Karina telling me ol' girl name.
"Sorry, what's your name beautiful?"
She blushed. Damn, that was sexy. "Nyelle but you can call me Elle."
She leant out her hand and I flashed my smile. "I'm better with hugs." She hugged me and I felt like I was in a candy store. She smelled sweet. "I'm Latrell but everyone call me Trell."
"That's cute," she smiled.
"Thank you beautiful," I wink. "can I sit with you?"
"Sure," she smiled.
"Alright girl, lemme go dance with Ju," Karina goes.
Me and Elle shake our heads then laugh. "she's the most active pregnant person I've ever met," I say.
"She's crazy, that's my best friend though."
"Best friend, and I'm just meeting you? That's crazy," I say. "We hit the club all the time."
"Yeah I ain't the clubbing type. I drink but dancing ain't me," she said.
"That's cool," I say. "So how old are you?"
"Twenty-three, you?"
"Twenty-four," I reply. "What you do?"
"I'm a chorus teacher at Murrow high school." That was extremely sexy. A teacher.. that's perfect wife material.
"ooh that's cool." I smile at her and she blushes again. "Girl all that blushing, why you acting like you shy?" She just smiled and looked down. I lifted her chin with my finger making her blush more. "You too pretty to hide your face."
"You flattering," she smiled.
"Nah I'm serious," I flashed my smile. "You want another drink?" I say seeing her finish her cup.
"I got my own drink, but thanks."
"Yo Mecca, can you get pretty Ms. Elle whatever she wants on my card."
"Okay Trell."
"Really?" Elle looked at me with a slight smirk.
"I ain't gonna talk with nobody and not pay for they drinks bae," I say. I tell Mecca what drink I want and she goes to make it.
"So you just Mr. Generosity?" She say taking a look at her drink then sipping it.
"Well only for ones worthy," I say.
"So how am I worthy?" She raised her eyebrows interested.
"Well number one, you a hard working woman. You work with high school kids and you gotta work hard for that. Your beautiful, and sweet. I ain't buying no drink for some lazy, freeloading, ugly, mean chick."
She laughed and I smiled. Damn, she was beautiful. "Thank you," she smile.
Right when a girl walks over to me and I see get in the corner of my eye but I ignore her. It's my ex from about two years ago. She had sex with Ju not knowing it was my cousin, and when I introduced them, he told me. He ain't know either but from then on, I cut her off.
"Hi Latrell, who's your friend?"
"Listen Lisa, I don't have time for a game with -"
"Really, cuz you with this hoe. That's how you do me?" She flared her nose. "We known each other how long?"
"Lisa I been-"
"Fuck you Trell, and this hoe."
"Excuse me?" Elle almost choked on her drink. "Listen girl, I don't know you from a hole in the wall and same for him. You ain't gonna be calling me out my name. And I'm not one of these fiendin chicks to fight over some dude I just met. So you have a good day and enjoy your night Trell."
"Wait Elle!" I called to her. I nudged Lisa then ran after Elle who was walking fast. "Elle wait, you don't gotta go."
"It's past my bed time anyway," she smirked.
"Wait, can I get your number though?" I asked.
"I'll see you around Trell." She smiled then walked to her car leaving me speechless. Damn!
