I got to the trap in no time. Pulling up, I felt funny. I don't know why but I made sure I had my gun on me and shook off the feeling.
I went straight to the basement seeing my father sitting down at the table. "Why these niggas threatening me Latrell?"
I looked at him kind of crazy. Nobody in here knew my real name so hearing my real name in here threw me off.
"Ima get straight to business, who's Jasmine?" I asked.
Ju watched me a little funny. "You straight Prince?"
"Yeah I'm straight," I nod.
"Who you talking about?" My father asked dumb founded.
"Yo Cole can you tell shawty to come in here. Don't rough ol girl up but make sure she don't run," I say.
I watch my father run his hand down his face and lick his lips. I do that all the time. I guess I do take from my dead beat ass father. That got me tight but I ignored it. Bigger and crazier things right now.
I saw the girl come in and it shook me that she look just like my father. I know this girl better not be his child, she's like Janaia age. My father eyes shot open and the girl rolled her eyes seeing him.
"Hello daddy," she says in a sarcastic tone.
I stood straight and clenched my fists which had the girl staring at me. "Where Dez at?! He telling me that this girl shot me?"
I looked at the girl who was really pretty. She had my father's eyes, lips, and nose. Only difference was my father is Brown skinned and this girl was yellow. Probably from her mother. This was happening too fast.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to shoot nobody else but him," she shot a glare at my father. "But apparently I failed."
I looked at her and smiled at her attitude. Reminded me a little like Janaia. "Yo uncuff her."
My father was sitting there still silent and shook. "Look-"
"Prince," I corrected him. "Don't start that shit when we in a business place."
"Thank you," the girl smirked when they took the hand cuffs off her.
"So how old are you?" I asked her.
"Seventeen," she answered with no fear.
I nodded and laughed. "I got a sister who's seventeen," I look at her who never took her eyes off me.
"Are you gonna kill me?"
"He wouldn't do-"
"Shut the fuck up!" I shot at my father. "Damn, back to our conversation. Do you know who I am?"
"A nigga name Prince who's well respected and got shot by my doing," she said still with no fear. "And I usually don't do this but I'm sorry, I had the wrong aim."
"No worries I understand. You family anyway," I say.
It got quiet for a minute and I figured she was thinking. I was too. I mean I hate my father but blood I'd blood. I have hardly family left so you automatically stick to who's blood. That's how I was raised.
"Shit," she paused. "This nigga your blood too?"
"Dead beat ass pops," I answer.
"I got a brother?" she shot at my father kinda excited and that made me smile. But it left her face fast leaving her expression blank. "Damn, sorry for the mix up. I ain't know he had more kids."
"Neither did I shawty," I say.
It got quiet and it shocked me when Ju was still in the room. This nigga ain't say nothing and that's not Ju to be quiet.
"So do I get a pass because I'm family?" she asked with the biggest eyes that made me and Ju laugh. This entire time she was tough until now. Now she look like she gonna cry.
"I'm sorry baby girl, your face reminded me of my sister," I say. "
"Soooo.." she looked lost.
I rubbed my forehead and looked at my father. I know I wasn't gonna kill this girl but I know she was gonna try to kill my father again. She looked crazy and the way she was so nonchalant about shooting him, I knew she wasn't done.
"Listen I hate this nigga too but you can't kill him," I sigh. "You got a lot to look forward to. You only what? Seventeen? Don't get a record for this nigga."
I looked at the girl who was just staring at my father while he was looking down. She was shaking her head while tears was falling freely. Damn, more emotional females. It's like I can't escape the crying, sobbing, and hurt females. And this is my family.
"I'll think about it," she stood up and my security stood up too gripping his gun.
"Chill Cream," I tell him. "Come take a ride with me for a second."
"Copy."
