After I got ready we all left at the same time. I took Tresey to the Brooklyn children's museum and she had fun. We took pictures and she played at the different activities. Damn, I had fun too. I was smiling hard the whole time. I made this little girl and she was happy, that made me happy. Don't even matter that I just met her, she's mine and always will be because I'm her one and only father. I love this little girl with everything in me. She one of the females in my life I'm soft for.
We went to Friday's in Sheepshead bay and she got mad food. "I like food daddy."
"I see baby girl," I laughed.
"I had fun," she said making me smile. "Can we go to the park tomorrow?"
"Yeah we can," I say. "Let's get outta here. I'm getting tired."
"Can we go see grandma before you go to sweep ?" she ask talking about my mother. I thought about it and I really can't deny her rights to see her even though I was mad.
"Yeah we'll go," I answer putting the thirty dollars under the receipt.
I watched her get off the table and took her hand. "You gotta use the bathroom?"
"Nope," she shook her head.
I left the restaurant and saw Lisa outside smoking a cigarette.
"Wassup Prince?" I nod trying not to be disrespectful because I had Tresey with me. "Who's the pretty little girl?"
"My daughter," I said continuing to walk. I just ain't feel like dealing with her. She's that one person who always try to ruin your day.
"She big, oh my God she looks like you," she actually smiled. "I know you don't wanna talk to me but congratulations."
I nod. "Thank you Lisa," I respond going to my car and putting Tresey in. I close the door and open mine. I look up and see her still there. So I pause and look at her confused.
"Be careful out here Trelly," she says with real concern on her face.
"What's going on Lisa?" I said taking the cigarette from her and taking a pull. I know she ain't being nice for no reason.
"That was rude," she crossed her arms and slightly smirked.
"You playing Lisa," I say.
"I miss you that's all," she said taking the cigarette back. "But forget my feelings. Have a great day Trelly."
I watched her switch away. Lisa has an amazing body. Her sex appeal was crazy. But I ain't want her no more. And I got Elle.
I got in the car thinking about Elle. Only reason her body better is because she's shorter. Lisa is taller but Elle is thicker. But I'm done, I ain't comparing Elle to nobody no more.
I pulled out the parking lot and got on the main road. I watched the cars closely and pulled up to the hospital. Still with my gun on me I got Tresey out the back seat and carried her inside.
"I'm here to see Lisa Velmont."
"Room 105A," she said with a smile.
I winked at her and licked my lips. "Thanks ma," I say with a smile.
She was pretty and I read her name tag that said Aaliyah. Ain't nothing wrong with flirting. I wasn't with Elle right now and I ain't asking for her number or having sex with her which is cheating. I'm just surprised she smiled at me with Tresey in my arms.
We got to the room and I woke up Tresey since she wanted too see my mother. Once I saw she was fully up I went in the room. Uncle Jay was here and talking to some girl. I just see her long hair and nice shape. Then she turns around.
"Mommy!" Tresey yells.
I look crossed. "Alicia?" I say picking up the front of my pants. "How you get here?"
I watched her pick up Tresey and then my mother smiled at them. "Hi to you too Latrell."
"My bad, I don't do surprises."
"I was planning on coming and when you said your mother was in the hospital I can't up here fast," she said. "But I wanted to see Janaia, Leyah, and your mother."
"Gwamma," Tresey jumped on my mother who happily accepted her in open arms.
"Waddup uncle Jay," I have him a pound and he gave me a look like he felt sorry for me.
"Keep cool son," he says only for me to hear.
I shook my head. My sister almost pregnant. I see Alicia. I got a daughter. I'm being set up. My mother tries to commit suicide. My father come back. Elle gave up- Nah that ain't nothing to complain about. Niggas from Cali tryna set me up. Now Alicia over here. I'm sure I'm missing some shit but ima need to smoke heavily tonight.
"How are you ma?" I ignored Alicia.
"I'm fine baby," she smiled and kissed Tresey. "How's my love? What you did today?"
"Daddy took me to the museum and then to eat," she spoke fast.
"Ooh that sounds fun," she sounded so enthusiastic. "So how was your flight Alicia?"
"It was okay, I watched tv." she said. I caught myself staring at Alicia. She had just the right amount of cleavage. She had on a black v-neck, tight khaki pants, and some heels. "How is baby Jay?"
"Where is she at ma?" I asked.
"On her way here, she spent the day with her father," she said and that had me wiping my face then licking my lips.
"Excuse me for a minute," I go over and kiss Tresey. "I'll be back baby girl."
I went outside the car and rolled up. I can't deal with this shit. I ain't a stressed person. Last time I smoked like this was when I was a teenager being a fool. I heard some noise outside my car so I grabbed my gun out my glove compartment.
"Open the door Trelly," I hear baby Jay yell.
I look outside then unlock the door putting my gun away. I watch her sit down and then I go back to rolling up. I wasn't gonna smoke in front of her but I was gonna finish this.
"How was your day?" she asked.
"Aight," I answer. "You?"
"Cool, daddy took me around where he grew up. From the park grandma gave birth to him at," she laughed. "The building he lived at. Where he and mommy used to chill. Where he watched grandma get shot. The hospital you were born at and the spot where him and uncle Jay fought at the hospital."
I couldn't even respond. I just listened to her laugh and get serious. I ain't know shit about my father but that he sold drugs and cheated on my mother. I knew my grandmother on his side got shot but I never met her.
"He even showed me where you got into your first fight because a boy in my class hit me. He said he told you if you get beat up, I'm whippin yo ass when we get home."
I laughed then. I remembered that. I was about ten years old. That was the first time I was ever scared of my father.
"Then he brought me to the house we stayed at when he got arrested and how I tried to fight the officer," she started to laugh. "I can't find myself to cry anymore Trelly. I can't stress and hate no more. I forgive him. I ain't saying things are gonna go back to normal but I'm just asking you sit down and hear what he gotta say. And same with Alicia. I don't know what y'all spoke about in Cali but look at what she gave you Trelly. Children aren't anything but a blessing. Stop hating people Trelly. Please stop."
With that she opened the door then I grabbed her arm. "I love you baby Jay," I say then kiss her cheek.
"Love you too," she smiled.
I lay back and put my other gun under my seat. I ain't wanna take it back in the hospital. And I put the roll up away. Ima chill for the rest of the night with my family. I ain't never listen to baby Jay but she right.
I got out the car and guns went off. I felt heat in my chest and I ducked behind my car. Shit, the minute I don't got my gun on me. I felt more heat in my arm and then black.
