Chapter 2

This is it. This is the moment we've all been waiting for! I turned my head to my mom, "Ma-" I didn't finish my words realizing that she was asleep. Great, sino ng pwede kong hampasin sa kilig? Joke, pero seryoso! Wala akong karamay. D, punta ka na dito please wala naman nakaupo sa tabi ko!

Then I think he heard my prayers, D is to the rescue! "D! You're back that fast? You left like 10 minutes ago." I laughed. I feel bad for the person next to me though. He/she bought VIP then didn't show up, what a waste. Huhuhu.

"Well, the girl who has supposed to seat here traded seats with me. Of course, no one can resist the Espanto Charm!" Darren explained. Oh, so no waste happened. They just traded. I bet that girl was fangirling when Darren approached her. I mean, who wouldn't?

"Sure, whatever you say, D. Just sit already." I told him and he just laughed. He sat down beside me and took out his phone. "Time for a selfie." Darren said. Wow, I think he's the only guy I know who's into taking selfies. I nodded and posed for the selfie, I stook my tongue out while he squinted his eyes. He looked really cute. Syempre, chinito yan e. 

He posted it on Instagram and the caption said: "darrenespanto1 The shows about to start!  Here at @karloslabajo 's concert, with my friend V! @heyitsmeivene" Typical Darren. Can't go a day without posting at least one photo on Instagram. Couldn't blame him though.

Then there it was, Juan Karlos finally went on stage. The audience went crazy! And, supposedly I'm part of it. Poor Darren.. suffering from all the fangirlish screams that would bounce of the walls of this place.

Gosh, Juan Karlos is so handsome, I swear. His voice makes me feel the butterflies inside! The first song he sang was Grow Old With You, his audition song at The Voice Kids. Honestly, it was one of my personal favorites. So while he sang I sang along.

"I wanna make you smile, whenever you're sad." JK sang. "Carry you around when you're arthritis is bad." I sang softly to myself. "All I wanna do is grow old with you." JK sang again. When it reached to the last chorus, he suddenly faced my direction and pointed at me. Well I think he pointed at me- I don't think he would point at my mom, or Darren.

".. I wanna grow old with you." JK sang as he pointed at me. Unexpectedly, he winked also. JUSME! Talaga bang ako yung tinuro nya? Kinikilig ako, wah! Nako! May kasama pang kindat yun! Mahihimatay ako ng di oras eh!

"Ayie, may kinikilig!" Darren poked my sides. I mean, who wouldn't fangirl if the guy of your dreams literally just winked at you? May point naman ako, diba? Si D talaga, di nag-iisip. Joke, peace tayo, D.

"Di ba obvious, D? You're best friend just pointed then winked at me! This day can't get any better! My gosh, D! Ang hot nya!" I fangirled. I just couldn't keep it in. He sang a few more songs then one of the hosts asked questions about JK. The prizes were gift checks or posters. But there was this one prize I wanted to win.

"Okay! This is the last question for the grand prize of a duet with JK. I'll pick a contestant first." The host said, looking around the upperbox level seats. Sigh, looks like I'm not getting the prize. The host picked a girl from the row and asked her a question. I didn't bother to listen.

"Wrong! Sorry miss, better luck next time po, now let's pick one from the VIP area!" The host said. Whoa, is the question that hard? Or maybe she wasn't a JKFanatic enough. Wait, VIP area? This is  my chance! Since all the other fan girls in my area were noisy, screaming and raising their hands, I remained quiet. Maybe I might stand out somehow. And usually the quiet ones get picked!

"Ikaw, miss? Tayo ka po!" I heard a voice near me. When I looked up it was the host. MY GOSH, NAPILI AKO! THIS IS IT, PANCIT! I nodded my head and stood up as I was told. I felt nervous, and my palms are sweaty. I turned to Darre, who was on his phone the whole time, yet he still watched the concert of course. He gave me a smile and a thumbs up, then continued to whatever he was doing. Geez, thanks for the support, D!

"Here's the question.." The host started. I did the sign of the cross for good luck, and did a short prayer.  I really wanna get the prize. "I want you to give me all the songs he sang in The Voice Kids! With in the next 7 seconds, timer starts now!" Shoot, this IS hard. I can do this!

"UMH, Grow Old With You! A Thousand Years! Stay! Sway! Yesterday! Runaway Baby! and Eto Na Naman featuring Gary V!" I panicked and yelled as fast as I could. Did I make it in time? I hope I did, nakaka-stress yun ah, okay sana kung walang time limit eh, kaso.. 

"Congratulations! You said it all, in order even, within the time of 5.12 seconds! Come with me to the back stage!" The host smiled at me, guiding me to the back stage, and Darren decided to come with me.

Oh. My. Gosh. I did it! I won the prize! ANG SAYA SAYA NAMAN! This is like the best day of my life, I'm gonna go back stage then meet the guy of my dreams, then have a duet with him LIVE on stage? This is like a very-very-very advanced birthday gift! And with that, we arrived to the back stage.

Then I saw a tall shadow in front of me, he was facing the other way though, but he has dark brown curly hair. He turned around and I was shocked. It's him. I can't move, parang nag freeze yung katawan ko. Am I really not dreaming? Am I REALLY going to have a live duet with my idol, Juan Karlos Labajo?

"Mr. Labajo, this is our lucky winner! You guys will be having a duet in 15 minutes, so get ready with your song of choice!" The host said, "Congrats again, miss.." he trailed off.

"Ivene, Ivene San Jose." I smiled at him, "Ah, okay. Congrats miss San Jose." He said and left the back stage. I looked at Juan Karlos then he looked back, we were just plainly staring, like our eyes were locked at each other. JK was going to speak until his manager called him.

Panira naman ng mood. Ugh, kainis.

Chapter 2 is done! I'm actually enjoying writing these. Sorry for the cliff hanger I guess? You'll witness their duet in the next chappie! See you guys. -Ica
