Chapter 7

Brad POV
I woke up at 6:30 and I got out of my bed and I went in to the bathroom and took a quick shower. Before I wake up Ashlyn so she can use the bathroom. I finished taking my shower and I comb my hair and brush my teeth and I got dressed in to my work clothes. I went in to Ashlyn's bedroom so I could wake her up so she wouldn't be late for her new school. I really hope she finds some nice friends that she will actually like and plan things to do with them. I went in to her room to wake her up "sweetie wake up you don't want to be late for the new school do you?" "No dad I don't want to be late for the new school even though it's the middle of the school year." "Well get your ass up then."  "Okay dad I'll get up and get dressed." I went out of Ashlyn's room and went down to the kitchen to start making my coffee for the morning.
Ashlyn POV
I got out of my bed after my dad left to go down to the kitchen and probably. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and hair in to a fishtail braid to the side. After I finish doing my hair I went in to my room to put on my clothes for the day (at the top) and I gave my stuff from my desk and I grabbed my sunglasses and I headed to the kitchen to grab an banana so I won't be late for school. "Bye dad I'm leaving." Bye sweetie are you sure you don't want a ride?" " I'm sure." I gave him a hug and kiss on the check before I went out the front door. I went down the sidewalk looking at my shoes well I was walking and I bump in to someone. I dropped all my stuff on the ground well I was on the ground from bumping in to that person. I looked up to see who it was and it was of course a guy and he turn around to help me with my stuff and he helped me up from the ground. "Hi are you new here because I never seen you around here?" "Yes I'm new here." "Well my name is sodapop Curtis you can call me soda." "Hi soda I'm Ashlyn taylor." "Well Ashlyn why don't you came to the DX after school and meet my friends later so we could get to know each other." "Okay Soda that sounds good but I don't know where the DX is." "You will pass it when you are walking to school so I well walk with you then I'll be going to work when we get there." "Okay that sounds really good and I'll see you after school."
Soda POV
I think Ashlyn is really pretty and I hope we get to be friends and the whole gang. I really hope dally or the rest of the gang don't make a move on her cause I like her even though I just meet her today.
Ashlyn POV
I made my way to my new school and I went to the office to get my schedule to see my classes. "Hi I'm new here." "Hi what's your name?" "Ashlyn Taylor." "Well here is your schedule and your locker number." "Thank you." "Your welcome." I walked out of the office and I went in to my first period science and the on slow and then it was lunch I didn't make any friends yet but I hope soda's friends are nice and I hope we become friends and I really like soda even though we only meet today.
~After school~
After school was over I went home and I wrote a note to my dad to tell him were I'm going and put my stuff in my room. Then I started to walk to the DX were soda told me to came after school.  I finally made it to the DX and there and I went inside to see if soda was inside the DX. I only found another boy there "how can I help you?" "Well I was looking for soda." "Hold on I'll go get him for you." "Hey soda there is a girl here to see you." "Okay Steve I'll be out there in a second." "Soda said that he would be out in a minute." "Okay thank you I never got your name?" "It's Steve and you are?" "Hi Steve I'm Ashlyn." After I met Steve, Soda came in to the room from were he was at. "Hi Ashlyn." "Hi Soda." "Hey Ashlyn would you like to come over to my house and meet the rest of "the gang?" "Yeah that would be great." "Okay you can stick around here since we get off in about five minutes." "Okay I'll wait here for you guys."
~five minutes later~
"Hey Ashlyn it's time to head to my house." "Okay." We started to walk to Soda's house so I can meet all of his other friends. We finally got to his house it was a worn down house but I thought it looked cute. Soda opened the gate that was in front of the house and let me go first and then Steve then he finally came inside the gate. Soda went in front of me and Steve was already inside the house and Soda was going to the door to open it so he could step inside and I followed right beside him. "Hey everybody I have someone I want you to meet." "This is Ashlyn he stepped aside so everyone could see me." "Hi everyone."Hi I'm Darry." "I'm two-bit." "I'm Ponyboy." "I'm Johnny." "I'm Dally." "It's nice to meet you guys well I'm new here." "Hey Ashlyn would you like to stay for dinner if you would like." "That would be great but could I use your phone I need to call my dad?" "Yeah that's fine it's right over here."
"Hey dad could I stay at a friends house they invited me for dinner?" "Yes honey,that would be fine but be home before midnight." "Okay dad thank you." "My dad said I can stay." "Okay that good" said soda. "I'm going to start on making dinner." "Hey Darry would you like me to help you make dinner since you invited me to stay?" "No Ashlyn I can make dinner but you can set the dining room table up." "Okay I'll do that." After dinner was finish we sat down in the living room to watch Mickey. "Hey Ashlyn do you like Mickey Mouse?" asked two-bit."Yeah I like him he's my favorite." "I like you already." "Well guys I should be heading home thank you for dinner." "Here I'll walk you home." "Okay bye everyone." "Bye." Everyone said. We finally made it to my house I walked up to the pouch. "Ashlyn would you like to come to the DX after school tomorrow?" "Yes soda I would like that, I have something to say that you guys are the only friends I really had so thank you for that." "Well your welcome I hope we become good friends." "Bye soda goodnight." "Goodnight Ashlyn." After that I went inside and I got ready for bed and went to sleep.
