Chapter 13

Ashlyn POV
(Next Friday rodeo)
I was getting ready for the rodeo today and I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and put my hair in a side braid on the right shoulder. I got a white undershirt and the rest of my clothes (at the top) and I grabbed my boots and my cowboy hat and my favorite necklace that I guess I took it off cause I never take it off even if I'm in the shower. After I got all dressed and grabbed my blade I headed for the Curtis's house to hang around there before my rodeo. Well I was walking I met up with two-bit and dally walking toward the Curtis's house and we finally got there. I went inside and sat on the couch beside soda.

"Hey soda are you guys coming to the rodeo today?"
"Yeah we're coming to the rodeo to see you ride."
"My dad isn't coming if you guys don't mine I need a ride to the rodeo."
"Sure we'll take you there since your dad ain't taking you there."
"Thanks you guys this means a lot."
"Well breakfast is done." Darry said
We all went to the kitchen to get breakfast I just got cake cause I don't like eggs. After we all ate are breakfast we all rode in Darry's truck I sat in the bed of the truck with soda, dally and Steve.
"Ashlyn what's on your necklace I always see you wear it and I never seen what's on it." Steve said
"Why would you care if I wear a necklace all the time and you don't see it." I said in a mean tone
"Well damn I was just asking."
"Well if you want to see it then here you go it just a cross." I said well I was pulling it up from under my shirt.
"I got it when I stoled a store when I was seven years old."
"Wow dal she was younger than you." Steve said
"Yeah I know but how old were you when you went to jail?" Dally asked
"Did I just say that I robbed a store when I was seven I got caught cause I didn't get away fast enough so I got jailed."
"Well damn she was younger than me but if you were younger than why don't you have a longer record than me?"
"I stopped for a well since my mom died in the accident." I said with no emotion in my voice
"Hey guys were here." Darry said from the driver seat
"Okay I'll see you guys later."
I gave soda a kiss on the lips and then I went to the stable to set up my horse. I went in to the stable and found my horse 'lucky' and I put the stale on him and I rode around with him until he went crazy "shit" I said well I was fall off of 'lucky' and I hit the ground hard and everything went black.
Dally POV
I heard a 'shit' come from Ashlyn and I turned to see were she was and I saw that she was on the ground. I started to run towards Ashlyn and I picked her up and I went to Darry's truck and put her in the bed of it and got rest of the guys and we headed to the hospital.
~at the hospital~
I carried her inside and yelled "help" I grabbed her hat. We waited in the waiting room for the doctor to come tell us what's wrong with her.
Doctor POV
I just ran test on ms.taylor and she is in a coma from falling off a horse. I'm going to tell the rest of the people that brought her in here and tell them that she might be in a coma for a couple of weeks or maybe a months. I went to the waiting room and asked people if there here for ms.taylor and a group of guys waited on me to tell them what happen to her. "Well ms.taylor is in a coma right now from the fall from the horse and it might be a couple of week or maybe a couple of months.
