I woke up in my bed, in Blake's arms. I sat up, and looked down at him. His eyes were gently closed, and I noticed that he looked much younger when he slept. I smiled at him, and he stirred.

"Why are you staring at me?" He asked amusedly.

I blushed. "No reason."

I got up, and got ready for the day. Blake went to his room to get ready, and then we both walked downstairs to the kitchen. Everyone was already there, and I took a seat beside Alexa.

"Hey where'd you go last night? I heard your bedroom close." I asked.

"I went for a walk. Will Herondale showed up and refused to leave me alone, and then Cecily appeared." She said.

"How come he always visits you?" I asked amusedly.

She chuckled. "I don't even know."

"Like he never even visits me." I said.

"Jealous?" Alexa smirked.

I blushed. "Of course not! But, he is nice to look at."

"He is." She sighed dreamily.

I laughed, and started to eat breakfast. I noticed that Logan was missing, and I wondered if he was still missing. After breakfast, Alexa and I decided to go train. We got changed into gear, and walked to the training room.

"So, what was Will saying yesterday?" I aske scasulaly.

"Nothing really. He said that I shouldn't have been walking alone." She said.

"That is true." I said. "You need to be careful, Lex."

She sighed. "I know, I know."

I pushed open the training room doors, and we both walked in, and then I froze. In the centre of the room was Logan and Jonathan. My mother's brother. Logan held a seraph blade and so was Jonathan. Logan was staring at us through surprised green eyes.

"What are you guys doing here?" He asked.

"We were going to train." I explained.

"Why are you two together?" Alexa asked curiously.

"I'm helping him train to fight Lilith." Jonathan said simply.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yup." Logan said. "Wanna join?"

I shrugged. "Sure."

Alexa and I picked up a seraph blade, and I mumbled "Cassiel" under my breath and it lit up, blue.

"What do we need to know?" Alexa asked.

"That it won't be easy, though I'm sure you've guessed that much. Lilith loves to change shapes and forms. You need to know how to outsmart her." Jonathan said.

I scoffed. "We can't outsmart a greater demon."

"Well, maybe they can't." He gestured to Alexa and Logan. "But you can. You have your mother's gifts."

"Yeah, and I'm horrible at using them." I muttered.

"No, Scarlett, he has a point." Alexa started. "If you can make a rune that will somehow do something to Lilith, then maybe we would have a better chance."
